Default Sacramento Area Meetings?

Is there any regularly scheduled meetings of NorCal members in the Sacramento area? Getting ready to pull the trigger (so to speak) on ordering a CSX 4000 and in another post noticed a number of your lived in Sacramento.

I am out in the Fair Oaks/Folsom area and would like to start establishing connections with other enthusiasts.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

I've been able to make a few meetings. Typically, the group gets together for breakfast on the (3rd?) Saturday of the month. I haven't seen any chatter about December yet, but I'm sure it's coming.

Ron, thanks for the response. See you are also into Porsche...

Guess that means I could bring my M5 to a meeting and not get asked to leave? ;-)

sounds like a plan...interested in how you ended up selecting a kit versus a roller...

Thanks for the response,

I don't think we have a December meeting planned. It gets kinda cramped for the married guys and women. lol just kidding January should be the next breakfast.

TM,
Yeah, everyone is kind of laying low for obvious reasons this month. If any of you meet for breakfast, I'll try and break away for an hour or so... Take Care. DC

billboy,

This forum is the contact person. It's pretty loose.... whenever someone wants to get together it gets posted here (the NorCal forum). If the weather is decent next weekend (the third Sat of the month), I'll probably get out and go somewhere.

Hey Bob: I think I got a roller, well at least the it has four tires on it to roll around. ford 9inch rear. mustang II front, the body is just like the factory delivered it. all the parts are still in the boxes. the way it came about was the owner priced it to me for 8500.00 and I thought that sounded like a good deal. time will tell.

I just pulled the sidepipes off my Backdraft. Having mufflers installed next week. I would still be there! Would I still be welcome in a Vette?!

I'll be at Tom Lucas's shop all day on Friday and Saturday. If some of you want to drop by Tom's after breakfast, that would be great.

We will be changing from the Arkansas / Craft “crackle-cam” to the new custom Alabama / Bennett “baby-cam.” Should be interesting.

Talk soon, John

John,
You might want to retract that idea... Are you paying Tom by the hour, or by the job? Could wind up to be a long day and interesting bill for a cam swap if you get the chatter-box crew stopping by. Never know, with all the interruptions...that cam could end up at 0 rather than 4 degrees advance too. Hahahahahaha.

Maybe we can stop by after it's installed... let us know the ETA for fire-up!

John, I,m assuming you are going from wild to mild on your "bump stick". I have a KC 427 612HP. Too much for cruising. Going to install Rhoads lifters.
I know a lot of gearheads who swear by them. Your thoughts? Billyboy

Yeah, don't want to wake the baby till he's ready. Somehow I think baby brother is going to kick big brother's ass.

Duane,

When Jon Bennett told me that, he didn't even hesitate. He was like, "well that's just the standard", you know? Like drinking a glass of water or something.

What ever happened to just making a little extra hp and having some fun?

John
