Note...we were just trying to come up with something a little longer, with a drive, to some place, other than all the places we've already done in Sacramento so far.
Maurice,
Any chance you are going to have your car fixed soon?

Hi, Duane
I went from 11 inch long style to 12 inch diaphram setup and by doing that, I have to change the piston in the hydraulic tob, Still waiting for the piston to arrive from Mcleod via Modern Driveline,
Probably not this month, darn

Hi Marice,
I have the 12" McLeod Diaphram pressure plate and clutch setup myself, but with the external slave cylinder setup. No more internal T.O.Bs for me (after three of them in both cars) for part of the reasons I imagine you are experiencing now; problematic and parts are a specialty item. Argh! Sorry you can't make it.

Al-I threw up the breakfast early this week. I have an obligation in the afternoon so I don't have the time for a Tahoe run. There didn't seem to much response for breakfast, but if anyone wants we can meet somewhere. It would be good if we could get a STANDING breakfast schedule, then those that want a long run can go from there, those that have other obligations can split. As a group we a little more consistant structure, we never seem to decide anything until the Friday before a run. My 2 cents.

I guess it's an ebb and flow kinda thing. After all this time we are still a little fractured.
Kathy cannot go this Sat and I too have obligations later in the morning/afternoon. I don't like to rush back from a great run like Tahoe.
How about those of us who cannot go on the long trip this time meet at Mels in Folsom. There is also Bookfields in Roseville, off hwy 80 at Eureka, which can accomodate us and there is a lot of parking in the a.m. but not later with the splash park there. Your choice......
Telecom if you wish..cell 530-913-9032.

As another option, one could meet up with us at It's a Grind for a Coffee, and then depart to your next destination from there.

I say nominate the person with the most complaints and excuses!

Steve,
Agreed. Many people will chat on NorCal Cobras for weeks back and forth and not suggest anything..., just sit and wait for someone else to come up with an idea or proposal. And then when something is suggested, then some disect it to a point where nobody knows for sure; and they reply back saying they can't make it now for whatever reason. Then, on the 3rd Saturday, it all comes down to the last minute before you really know who shows up on that day. It's hard for any of us to plan anything with this group when most everyone is non-commital right down to the wire - as you stated here. When we do meet for breakfast only, most of the last minute people complain right after saying, Quote: "Gee, how come we never do drives".
PROPOSAL:
I say nominate the person with the most complaints, excuses, and no-shows on drive months to become President of NorCal Cobras. Then let that person decide where to meet and what to do every month. If you go back and look at all the replies over the years, I bet you can figure out who the next President is going to be.

Oh well. A few of us are going for a drive to Tahoe tommorrow, and hopefully the weather is good, and the cars run well. Take Care.

Glad to hear the run to Tahoe was a success. I had a comittment at 1pm, would like to have gone along. I think we should pick a place to meet for breakfast, a couple of weeks in advance, as Dwane stated. At the same time a place is picked, we pick a destination or drive for those who can go. Those that can't go can still meet with the group so we can all stay in touch. my second 2 cents......

Here is an idea. How about at our once-a-month breakfast pass out paper and a pencil and have people write down 12 destinations. 8 short under 2 hour drives and 4 all/most of the day runs. We can have the long runs for the summer/best driving months and actually put these on a calander so we know what is comming up and can plan for it. I would personally like to see the Norcal group deversify and do different types of fun things like participating in the annual Carmichael forth of July parade. They have the Mustang club, the Corvair club, the Lowrider club. I think folks would get a kick out of the loudest street cars around, US! What do you think? -John
