the new deal
OK it's going to be about eight months before spf 0995 is back on the road so.....I bought a new spf. Its titanium with black stripes. It should arrive at Hillbank motorsports next month. I bought an inbounder so no waiting for it to be put together. Now which one to register for the the Bash...........:)
|
Congratulations Ed, look forward to seeing it. If you need help picking it up or a trailer pick up, let me know.
|
Vince I thank you. The car is being delivered to costa mesa. I pick up there. Feel like a drive in November?
|
Ed,
at least it's not blue with white stripes and red pin stripes! Ron |
Ron, I guess it wasn't meant for me to steal your color scheme.:)
|
Way to go! Congrats.
|
Ed
If I am not working and you want company, I'm in. |
Ed, Great color choice, I applaud your taste.
Bob |
Nice job Ed!
I'm very familiar with that trip to Costa Mesa.
That's where my Shelby dealer is/er was! Newport Shelby is no-more. :( Be careful on the 405/i5 interchange. Three freeways converge and you have semi's trying to cross 6 lanes of traffic both ways across all lanes!:JEKYLHYDE And stay out of the tunnel at Santa Clarita!%/ jdog P.S. My trailer has new tires & wheel bearings if you want to use it!;) |
Congratulations on the new Cobra...sounds good! Drive carefully coming back from So.Cal. There's been a few BIG traffic problems. It will be tough deciding which one to drive...OR...you can give one to Brian.
Tom |
Now that is possible solution. NOw Tom do not put that in his head........
|
Good to hear the news,Ed.
See you Saturday Maurice |
Great news, Ed.
Look foreward to seeing you and the new wheels. Curious how you handled the "old" car? Was it totalled, then bought back by you? Are you putting an all new drivetrain in the new car, or transplanting the motor etc from the other car while it's being rebuilt? In anycase, someday you may be able to walk into the garage and say "Humm, I wonder which Cobra I'll drive today?" An enviable position to be in!! Ron R |
The "old" cobra is not totaled. It just truely appears to be. It is going to take a long time to put that egg back together so a new one was in order. Currently my plans are to move a bunch of the parts over to the new one and study the situation. You are correct, it could be a two cobra garage...
|
Ed, three color schemes in one year... I'm beginning to think you're a chameleon rather than a Cobra.:MECOOL:
|
Ed,
Not sure if you want to disclose this openly in a public forum, but I'd like to understand the particulars around how your insurance company is dealing with your accident. Since you are pulling parts from the old to the new, did they total out that car and you bought it back for "$xx,xxx" or "$x,xxx"? I just think it would be good negotiating information to have handy in the event we fall into the same situation. -Dean #747 |
Ed,
Congrat's on the new car. Excellent choice on the color. Chris |
Ok, I also have a question... I have looked at your pics over and over and cannot figure out how it started/ended?! lol
Congrats on teh new ride! |
GEEEEZ those pictures are painful to look at - Glad you're ok. It would be good info if you could share the insurance story. Certainly none of us are immune from what happened to you.
Greg |
Titanium is a great color choice. Glad to see you stayed positive throughout your whole ordeal. I'd drive with you if you were going the last week in October, my vacation. -John
