Oil Filter Issue

It would cost hundreds $$$ and perhaps more grief to replace the SVT filter assembly. I moved the assembly 1/2" away from the chassis frame and after some hours surfing the net found an oil filter, with a bi-pass anti drain valve, that will fit (Wix 57007R) racing filter. It is much larger than the FL-1A type filters and more expensive but it will work. I will order 6 from Ebay and will most likely have enough filters for the next 5 years!

Try a Ford FL-1 HP filter about $15

I found a Wix Racing Filter with a 1 1/2 -16 thread (part # 57007R) that fits my SVT oil filter housing. I found filters on EBay for $17. |
