Keep me posted for an estimated time through Winters. We plan to grab a bite at the Putah Creek Cafe in Winters before meeting up with everyone.

Sorry, just my competitive edge wanting to be first there. . . . From what I can tell Winters is half way for us Sac folks. So lets take a poll. When do we want to show up in Sonoma (we gotta beat our Bay Area brothers however) knowing that it will take about 2 hours (with no stops)? We can plan from there. :D

I don't plan on going anywhere near the airport. I leave yuba city and head to knights landing (highway 113). From there I head west to Zamora then south to Davis. Pick up 80 there. For me it is easier and shorter (country roads). If you want to meet me in yuba city you are welcome. I live in the south part of yuba city near the highway. Send me a PM and I will send you my cell number and address.............:)

If I may interject,

I know what it’s like traveling to one of these longer distance deals and totally understand. I set it for 10am with that in mind but what ever arrival time is comfortable for you is more than fine with me. The space is ours for the day so if you want to arrive later than 10am, that will be fine. Make it work for you. No worries, Ok? I’ll be there.

John :)

Good planning job John..........:)

Hey 1cobrat...Im in Roseville. I'll hook up if my brakes get fixed in time...You all might want to search "brakes" thread.......... "Superformance brakes (or not)". Do any of you locals have a car newer than mine (2769) with the same issue. tom

thudmaster 04-09-2008 12:52 AM

I have 2742 with no issues...........sorry.
Get them fixed and go with us.:)

I don't know about you folks but Grass Valley to Sonoma will require at least 2 or 3 potty stops!!!!!

Nor Cal Al 04-11-2008 04:23 PM

thudmaster 04-11-2008 05:03 PM

It would be 2 for me. (Medicine)

wanab5150 04-11-2008 06:07 PM

Al...they make a pill for that. I saw on TV that if you take it, you can Kayak, swim and ride bikes without having to pee all day! tom

Nor Cal Al 04-14-2008 09:46 AM

I only said 1 for me. Two more cups of coffee and it would be 2.......

My car may be garaged in Carmichael this week, if it is (still unknown) I'll be meeting up with yall at Pavilions instead of the group from Roseville. Is the route outlined above the one you intend to take?

wanab5150 04-14-2008 08:27 PM

For those going to Sanoma, I would be happy to set up a photo area if anyone knows of, or has knowledge of, a specific location in a shaded area with a nice background. I am (for the most part) retired from my business "Total Recall Photography" but still do an occasional wedding or other special event....when i'm not playing golf or mess'in with the Cobra.
I will do family w/car, or just your car, or whatever time allows. There will be no charge for anything as long as I can e-mail you the photo. You can take it to Costco or any other photo service of your choice. The format is huge, so you can blow them up to 20"x24" easily. Costco also does beautiful canvas enlargments fairly cheap. There's also a professional service here in Roseville on Sunrise that can do the enlargements.
Debbie won't be with me so I may need some help if someone wants to volunteer to do some setup and maybe make a list of individuals that want a photo. It would be nice to have a list so anyone wishing a photo will know when it's his or her time (numerically) in case time runs out. It's always easier with a sign up list so no one will have to stand around waiting in a line.
Let me know what you think. tom

wanab5150 04-14-2008 08:29 PM

If I didn't say it's free......IT'S FREE, no catch.......tom

pgermond 04-14-2008 08:50 PM

Free? I'll take two, please.:LOL: Just kidding.... a very nice offer for the group.
