I got a complete Ford 9" posi third member with a 3.00 gear ratio off of eBay for $204.00. Sean is going to check it out and install on Tuesday. What do you think of the 3.00 ratio?

John

I run 3:08 and it is a blast. 1-4 is like a traditional 4 speed trans and the 5th is an overdrive just for long trips. There is nothing like lobbing in 5th and downshifting @ 80mph in 3rd to get your blood pumping :D -John

All Sacramento area folks, caravan at Starbucks, Pavillions at 8:30AM and then leave to Castle Oaks, Ione.

Also, I like Duane's idea regarding the later start time, can we arrange it??

Debbie and I are leaning toward going as of right now so we will see you at Pavillions Ron-John

Bob,Sign up Deb and I....But, no sleeping in!!!

John ,I know how much you love your new 3:00 rear end. I've never seen someone do a rear gear swap so fast.....I thought I was going to pick you up and take you home then bring you back 4 hours later. At least we got breakfast before he got done. Wait....it was done when we got back, huh! But, if you call me one more time to tell me how much fun the car is to drive I'm going to throw up. I heard you the first 10 times you called me. My cell phone battery caught fire! If you call me again to talk about how cool your car is now I'm going to call the police and get a restraining order. If you want to call and talk about ME, feel free to call. I'll come by tomorrow to see how the tile job is going.......you know what not to mention......... tom

I'm in.

Where's the Starbucks that everybody is meeting at? I'll join the caravan.

Duane, any chance you can bring the bag I left at WSCB? Thanks.

See everyone saturday.

PatBuckley 10-16-2008 09:00 AM

I am leaving the Folsom area around 8 AM --

Tony Ripepi 10-16-2008 12:45 PM

Hmmmmmm,

A little help for a far flung member with and itch for a long ride Saturday.

Where can I hook up with you guys?

I just did a mapping from Dublin to Ione and the results are Trip distance: 85.35 miles Time: 1 hr 32 mins.

In the GT this would be nice drive.

Tony, Hope you make it. Which way do you plan to come... up 680 to 80 or 580 through Tracy and eventually up 99 to 88 or 104. IMHO hwy 104 just north of Galt has a nice open road that puts you right at Castle Oaks Drive as you get to Ione. See ya tomorrow.

I just found out about this and was thinking of driving over in the GTM.

David

Tony Ripepi 10-17-2008 12:02 PM

Hello David,

Hmmm if we do this it would be a good opportunity to put the GTM side by side to the SPF GT40.

Pinks ????????
