July Breakfast ?
There's a very good chance I'll be free and have the car's starting problems cleared up by this weekend - is there a plan for a 3rd Saturday breakfast? I haven't seen you Norcal'ers for a couple of years - it would be great to get together with you!

Hey Dirk,
no word from anyone this month I guess... last month Tom stepped up, and others in the the past. Typically in the hotter summer months from what I've seen over the years, folks become fragmented a bit on getting the cars out or wanting to bring it up. Once it cools off in late September, the people start heating up again wanting to get the cars out more regulary - this is at least one lame explanation after seeing 54 views and no responses to your post yet. Mels in Folsom is somtimes the default location if nobody brings something else up.
There is a group of us going to Sonoma on Sunday August 2nd if you wanna come check that out. See other WCCC II thread. DC

I'll try to make a Fall breakfast then, it's more fun driving when it's UNDER 100F yes:)
August 2 we'll be on a New Brighton Beach week we've done annually for many years.

Few of us put the body on last night after I did some Mods to the frame to drop the back end down 2 inches. Looks pretty good. Body will stay on for a week or so while I trim the panels and get things aligned. Then I''' pop the body back off finish up the truck aluminum and carpet and put the body back on for the rest of the season, til Oct/Nov time frame. Then I'll look into finishing Body and paint. So it won't be ready to drive Saturday but I do plan to drive it to CH1 in September.:JEKYLHYDE

Ione is in Amador County. South of Hwy 16 and south along Hwy 124.
Dan, do you want to meet up at Peet's around 8:15, then head down Latrobe Rd at 8:30? That should get us there around 9. Anybody else is welcome. Peet's coffee is on Latrobe Rd and White Rock Rd in El Dorado Hills.

Hey Danny that sounds good, will meet at Peets in El Dorado Hills, for those who don't know - Peets is up on the hill - up behind the waterfall. Corner of WhiteRock and Latrobe road. Karen and I plan to leave the Ion breakfast and proceed on up into the mountains HWY88 most likly go over Carson pass and drop into south shore Lake Tahoe. From there will proceed around the west side of the lake past Emerold bay and drive to Sunnyside at Northshore for lunch. We plan to just hang around Northshore area until dusk, maybe stop at Garwoods for a refreshment :p and then drive back down the hill. This gets us out of the central Valley heat all day and go for a great drive. Anyone wanting to join us that would be great. No real plan or schedule just a nice drive up into the cool mountains for the day.

Dan, Sounds like a great drive and the smart thing to do to get out of the heat. Tracy has a bbq planned for the afternoon with family, so I'll be stuck in the heat...... :eek:
