Default A fun kind of get-together

This mornings' DOC fund raising event for diabetes at Mariner High was a good time, even with the poor showing of Cobras. There were hundreds of Harleys, a few Japanese bikes, other assorted makes...and five Cobras, which were a big hit, by the way. Next year we need to make a full blown NWCC event out of this, including the run to Darrington, but not necessarily to the classic rock concert. Darrington is just a hop, skip, & a jump from Concrete and that great South Skagit River Highway.

Here's some pics: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...a=13653916&f=0

The first shot is Grizzly Adams, Robbie Knevil (sp?), and some pro football player I'd never heard of signing autographs. There's also some Cobra shots, pictures of the Seattle Sonics mascot, Squatch (sp again?) and his hard tail, and some beautiful Indian Chiefs, which is my personal favorite amoung motorcycles.

Rich, I'm so glad you took some pics! We had a good time also.

Bob Johnson did the Darrington ride, it will be interesting to see how that went? It was great watching them leave. Hundreds of Harley's side by side for seven city blocks, with police escorts and Bob Johnson in his Shell Valley tightly following up the pack like a caboose. It was too cool.

I thought the breakfast was pretty good also. The silent and live action was amazing, they had some of the best buy's! I wish I would have bought that dinner for four with wine at Canlis and a brand new Mercedes rental for a week that went for $375, and it's a write off!

The bands were great! The company was great! Thank you everyone for a good time. It was nice getting home by 1:30pm also! My "honey-do" list is pretty long these days.

Thumbs up Wish I could have made it

Looks like it was a great event, really sorry we couldn't make it. Had every intention of showing up, it just wasn't possible today. Let's try to get it on the calendar earlier next year and I'm sure more will show. We need to invent an "Early Warning" event system that we publish in January or February. Have to think about that.

Cheers, Bish
