2013 Run to the Sun
Yes there will be a 6th Annual "Run to the Sun". The destination, as in the past, will be Sun Mountain Lodge. The arrival date at the Lodge will be the afternoon of Friday June 21st & the departure date will be Sunday June 23rd.
Gloria and I will be staying over and leaving on Monday the 24th, so if any one wants to hanger around and extra day we will be glad to have the company. There will be a gathering in the Wolf Creek Bar on Friday the 22nd, and dinner in the Wine Cellar (private room) on Saturday night. There will be a cruise on Saturday, to Chelan possibly. I am still mulling this over. I am planning on picking a location along Highway 20 where we can meet for breakfast Friday morning. I will let you know the location. It has really been a long winter, and it ain't over yet. The Cobra is on jack stands waiting for a new oil filter adapter by-pass, Once I get that I can put the headers and the side pipe back on the car. Glad I have a pellet stove in the shop!! Please let me know if you are going to join us for the "2013 Run to the Sun". Bye for Now, Dale McBain |
I expect Tetelle and I will be there! Have you heard or thought about going to Denver for the Superformance party in July?
|
Hopefully
Hopefully, we will make this date.
|
Dale, Susan and I should be there as well.
|
Mary and I are planning to attend.

Sorry have not been on the website much. Been down with the bug and preparing for my Mothers memorial service. Glad to see we have some interest. If you all have booked rooms that means there is probably only 3 or 4 left.

Dale,
Sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I lost my Mother in 2011 so certainly can sympathize and relate to what your going through now and in the future. My condolences to you and your family. With all the motor work on my Cobra after loosing a exhaust lobe on the Oregon Coastal Cruise last summer I'm pumped. So is Blue Cobra. :D Kevin |
Dale, sounds like your event is really fun, hope the weather is perfect for all the folks in your neck of the woods in June.
Looking forward to seeing you guys in Havasu next month. Sorry to here about your Mom passing, it's a difficult thing to deal with but it makes you realize how precious life and good times are. Take my friend, Bill |
Saint Valentine and two dozen red roses worked their magic and I have gotten an enthustic "Lets Go!" from my bride for the Run-2-Sun-2013. I just confirmed my reservations at Sun Mountain Lodge.
Thanks Dale for taking the time to arrange this. K & D |

Run to the Sun Breakfast Friday Morning
I have come up with 2 choices for breakfast in Sedro Woolley on Friday the 21st. They are the Hometown Café and Joy's Bakery. I am leaning towards Joy's Bakery. Anybody have any suggestions or preferences??
Last year, I was not to impressed with the Iron skillet. Let me know preferences and who will make breakfast (around 10:00 AM), so I can make a reservation for the group. Dale SPF469 |
Dale:
We wont be staying overnight, hotel budgets are tight this year, but Mary and I still want to join in the festivities on the 21st. Book two for breakfast. No preference on location. Regards Bob |
We have rooms booked at SML. Tetelle and I will meet up for breakfast as well. Joy's Bakery gets good reviews online. Someone didn't like their coffee, but there must be something special in the coconut pancakes as they are a big hit. One order feeds two!
|
Dale, Susan and I will be there, whatever you decide will be fine.
|
We've never ate Cococakes, but hear they are really good. We vote for Joy's.

I will set it up for Joy's in Sedro Woolley.

Sounds great. Thanks for everything you've done, and all your time putting this together for us. We are both looking forward to the run, and having some fun!

Run to the Sun Friday Breakfast
The executive committee has selected Joy's Bakery in Sedro Woolley as the location for breakfast Friday morning. Address is 823 Metcalf St. in Sedro Woolley. The plan is to arrive by 10:00 AM. Whomever arrives first needs to try and nail down tables for a group of 10 to 14. Don't get hurt in the process, I hear it a Biker Bakery!
See you this Friday morning! Bye for Now! Dale SPF469 |
