Give me TXT if I'm not at Lynnwood by the time your all jumping in cars. I'll jump on NB I5 at 112th aka Silver Lake Park N Ride about 8-miles north of Lynnwood. Look forward to seeing everyone!

If you stay on hwy 99, there aren't any lights from the border until you get over the Oak street bridge and go into Vancouver. Probably 30-40 minutes of driving from the border to Oak street bridge.

Mark,

Can you please relay that text to us? Dave, Kim, Laurel and I will probably be in the region at about the same time heading there from Kelowna on Highway 1.

We might be able to tag up with the crew on 176 street just before the Highway 1 interchange as there appears to be a commercial building on the right hand side that we can park at - assuming we're close on timing - and assuming that's the route in use. One way or another...if someone could let us know the timing info it would be great! If we don't connect there, we'll target the stop around Horseshoe Bay.

!

just sent a test TXT to Mark, Gary and Andrew. GOOD MORNING COBRAS!!!

Jake 07-10-2015 06:59 AM

Mark, we are still planning on stopping at the Horseshoe Bay. I will post on this thread when we are at the border.

Andrew thanks for confirming the "GOOD MORNING COBRAS!" TXT. Hoping Mark and Gary also received at lease 1 as well. I sent a group TXT first to all, then unicast TXT to each of you. So if the TXT Boarder Crossing Guards let theses other TXT through you should all have 2 x TXT from me so far. TXT Canadian boarder crossing seems to introduce as much as 15-minutes delay from what I gather.

BbyCobra 07-10-2015 10:14 AM

Funny, I did not get any texts.
I plan to be at the visitor center at 12 noon.
Gary

Anyone seen any cobras out there?
Progress report?
The weather is just perfect, but no cobras at the pacific border yet.

Gary

I am heading back to Burnaby to wait.
It's getting warm now.

Sorry to the Canadians waiting at the border. We did not see you guys. We did pick up one of you along the way. Here is the schedule of events: tonight, grab onto any of the other Cobra peeps and go get dinner or go for a swim. Sat morning at 10am we will meet in the garage for a drive. If you don't want to do that we will see you at 5pm for dinner at the old Spaghetti Factory!

Accidents around the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge. Stop and go traffic for 10 miles around the bridge. You are welcome to wait it out at my house in Burnaby.

BbyCobra 07-10-2015 07:04 PM

Can someone post tomorrow's route if a decision has been made.
Thanks,
Gary

vRAE 07-10-2015 09:58 PM

I believe the plan is to meet in the garage at the hotel (Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside) at 10am. The discussion I overheard at dinner indicated that we would head for Lillooet - about a 3 hour round trip or more depending on stops.

Andrew

Jake 07-11-2015 07:25 AM

The plan is Duffey Lake Rd. 10 am at the parking garage at Pan Pacific Mountain.

xlr8tr 07-11-2015 07:53 AM

just having coffee in lions bay and will see you before 10am!

Be extra careful in the rain tomorrow. I spun out just after Britannia Beach and I wasn't even speeding in the 60km/h zone. Luckily I didn't hit anyone else and I am fine too. The car not so lucky. Lesson learned. Go Slower in the rain !

Horrible news Gary. We will take it easy on the way home. Hope you get the snake back on the road soon.

Jake
