Default How were the historics???

Do any of you have some pictures and stories to share?

Wish I could've been there to share in the fun with the rest of you, but I was trying very hard to get the car completed this weekend. No luck, but she runs! Builder didn't tell me I couldn't idle it either, which is a nice change from Jim Greens. (have I reminded everyone enough that Jim Green's Performance Center in Lynwood Washington provided me with poor service, high prices, one broken motor during break in, and another in under 600 miles, all for 10k?) I hope my lesson is something that will help others who are considering that shop!

Hey Amigo,

Sounds like you are getting close. Do you think you and Sherry will make it in time for the Whistler run?

2nd & 3rd, right? I am planning on things going right this weekend, which might be a little presumptuous, but if I'm right for the first time ever, this weekend is it.

I'll get some pictures up as soon as I have a minute. I'm in the middle of buying a sailboat with no trailer and trying to find a trailer with no boat.

That 390 is such a sweetheart, (ask Zderf) you'll be fine come Monday!

Will be fun to run with you for a change.

I hope you're right about Monday! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

BTW, the built 390 is still in my sweet little redneck 71 ford pickup.

Brent,

I guess I haven't been paying attention. I thought you were putting the 390 in your Cobra. What are you putting in? Is the 427 breathing again?

A different 427, but it's breathing. Came across a 427 s/o with standard bores and a great price. Had it freshened by a competent FE builder this time, and all is good. Should be on the road this weekend.

Thumbs up All Right!

Brent,

Looks like you can be the local distributor for FE's!

I hope everything goes better for you this time around. You sure did not deserve the treatment you got the last time.

Looking foreward to hearing that S/O at Whistler!

Be Safe!
Mike
