Default smiths oil temp guage adapter?

I have a smiths oil temp guage that I want to hook up to the double oil filter outlet. The guage come with two different size connecters and the oil filter had a 1/2 inlet. Seems to be very common setup for superformances, but nobody seems to have the adapter to connect them. Anyone know where to get one?

For future, I got my parts from http://www.batinc.net/ British American Transfer. They made the oil sender lines for a couple of our SPF's.

fred, I got the parts. I appreciate it, but only problem they are the adapter that I have (came with the guage), so I am needing the one that connects it to the 1/2 npt inlet on you remote oil filter. So it appears I need one of the following:

* 1/2 npt (male) x 3/8 npt (male) or
* 1/2 npt (male) x 5/8 UNF (female)

seems so strange that this is such a difficult part to find, but it has been. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might give McMaster-Carr a try:

Fred,
If you have the Smith oil gauge, it is not American thread. It is British. You can jam American on, but it might not seal right.Most people do that .

I am not the one that needs the adapter, I just got rid of the Smith gauges and went with Auto Meter.
