Grumman is going to building the AirBus? Is that like the Toyota's that are bult here and they try to pass them as American built but the money still goes back to Japan?
The U.S. military should not be using foriegn equipment period.

Do you seriously think that the U.S. military doesn't already use "foriegn equipment"...
I agree with your premise but the reality is when it comes to military hardware there are some nations that develop better equipment than we do here in the U.S. ... all you have to do is take a look at U.S. military history from the Revolution on...just the nature of the beast... someone is going to figure out how to use a bigger, better rock

I served in the the Army from 89-91 with the 1st Cavalry Division, and I can not think of one foriegn piece of equipment we used. Let's see; Apache, Cobra, OH-58, Bradley, M-16... Yep all made in the U.S. I guess thing's have changed?

Some but not all... That helicopter you flew in, or the Abrams, or that truck or humvee was more than likely painted with AKZO Nobel military paint, a Netherlands supplier. If you were issued a JLIST suit or coveralls for chemical protection they were designed by Blucher GMBH, a German Co., under licesnc to Tex-Shield. If you had a contact with the Chem warfare guys the hand held optic readers they used were more than likely from Ahura Scientific, a Japanese company. And a lot of the military's special forces use small arms from Israel, Galil's, Belgium, various FN designed automatic weapons, and the list goes on. Oh yeah the M-16 is being fazed out for a better, lighter more effective combat weapon.
Not trying to start a fight by any means

Actually several U.S companies have new M4 style weapons in service with the Military as we speak. The new Barrett in 6.8mm is one that is very nice. I just picked up a Barrett M99 in .416 and their qualty is outstanding. The problem with the M4 is barrel length. The 5.56mm round is very good in the standard M16 barrel length, but the Military is primarily using the M4 now which has a shorter barrel length and it results in a much lower velocity with the 5.56mm round. I think you will see a weapon similar to the new Barrett being adopted which is very similar to the M4 that most people in the military are very comfortable with, but with a more effective round. I also think it will be built in the U.S. Spec Op units have always used a variety of weapons including the AK-47 which is a very cheap and crude weapon compared to the M16 / M4. They have their reasons though because of their special missions.
Just putting some info out there. I don't have a problem with some of the stuff you listed above not being American, but a contract as huge as the new re-fueling tanker should definitely be built in America IMO...
