Anyone else sick of Winter yet?

Or am I the only one?

392cobra 12-20-2008 05:33 PM

I had my fill of Winter Oct. 23 !!! It only got up to 63 AND had to wear long sleeves. Winter Sucks.

terry lee 12-20-2008 05:51 PM

79 degrees and partly cloudy in the Palm Beaches today. :3DSMILE:
Looks like great weather for the next few days.:)
You guys in the north can eat your hearts out while I bask in the sun sipping on some sort of a cooling refreshing beverage, maybe have one of those silly umbrellas in it.
My townhouse on the intracoastal waterway is for sale for those who might want to get away from all that snow and cold.

TL:MECOOL:
in sunny Fla for the winter

Steve Bisson 12-20-2008 06:30 PM

Right now it's 25 F, snowing and a forecast of 50 mph winds tonight. However there is a big pot of beef stew simmering in the crock pot, buttermilk biscuits in the oven and a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon ready to uncork. As long as we don't loose power, life is good. Having said that; I'm ready for some warm and sunny weather. The Cobra has been cooped up in the garage for to long and needs to stretch it's legs.

stuartb 12-20-2008 06:36 PM

It was a nice 7 degrees for the high here and snowing. No cobra driving here until april here. I am ready to move just not to Florida, but Texas yes.

Danr55 12-20-2008 06:54 PM

THe Grand Canyon reported a temp of -7F this morning. All that stuff you said you were going to do when hell froze...?? It's time to start giving it some serious thought.

Fordzilla 12-20-2008 07:17 PM

About 10 degrees here & a foot of snow with another foot on the way tomorrow with 50mph winds. Yeah, I'm ready for spring!

65LA 12-20-2008 07:24 PM

**):JEKYLHYDE It's -2 here.. 5-9 inches of snow blowing .. my son had an outdoor hockey practice along with a team Christmas party...hot dogs and brats were grilled outdoors on a charcoal grill... it's crazy.. but sure was a ton of cold fun.. **) Might I add.. every kid out there had to be pulled into the warming house..when it was time to go..

If you ever wondered where hockey moms get their reputation from... this is a very slight example... winter is what you make of it.. sort of like a rainy day...or overly humid day..

madmaxx 12-20-2008 08:24 PM

LOL!! It was 78F in Houston today.

1985 CCX 12-20-2008 09:13 PM

Last week we had a harsh ice storm, 370,000 homes w/o power.
Yesterday 12" of snow
In the morning another 8-10" in the forecast.

April come sooooonnnnn

TINNMANN 12-21-2008 05:34 AM

Seven Weeks!!!

That is how long we have had snow on the ground. Yesterday it was -25C and I spent 3 hours cleaning up fri. snow about 10" now as I sit here we have 5" of fresh snow and no sign of it letting up. Yes I am tired of winter. I SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT THE DOG TO PULL A SLED!
Cheers Greg

Depends on your location!! In Florida "Winter" is the dry season, and it's cooler than the hot, humid, rainy summers, in other words "prime time" for cobras!! Yesterday (Saturday) I took my ERA and met a buddy with his Unique at Starbuck's on US#1 in Coral Gables at 7:30 am, and we "headed south". Turned out to be a spectacular day, and we just kept heading south and ended up having lunch & a beer at the Turtle Kraal in the old seaport district of Key West. Got back by 5:00 PM after a great drive, tremendous views of the Keys, and 300+ miles on the cobras. Yessir winter is GREAT!!!

Dwight 12-21-2008 07:35 AM

I hate winter

Yesterday it was 60 and rained all day, well the sun did shine for 35 minutes. Today it's 31 and the sun is out. It's been over two week since I got to drive a Cobra.

going into D.T.s:LOL:

must have a fast ride  soon

I don't like the cold weather. And I think I will have to work outside next week. Ugh:CRY:

Dwight

P.S.
I think yesterday was the first day of winter

wtm442 12-21-2008 08:02 AM

About a foot of snow in the driveway, my snow blower is down for the count, but my refrigerator is full.

How about everyone wish for a Happy Easter rather than Happy Holidays and we can just cancel winter. :JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE

1985 CCX 12-21-2008 08:59 AM

Warren

I thought you put on the snow tires and drive regardless of the weather?

Best to you and yours, Merry Christmas

powerslide 12-21-2008 09:14 AM

OK, us dumb Yankees can handle all the verbal slings and arrows coming from our fellow enthusiasts living in the Sunbelt; but come next August or September don't look for any sympathy from us when there's a hurricane blowing in from the Gulf! I'll take a blizzard, anytime!

TButtrick 12-21-2008 09:43 AM

I just shoveled 5 more inches of "partly cloudy" from the walkway.

Hey, here's a thought... when you tell us how much snow you have and how cold it is, how about including where you live? :JEKYLHYDE

CHRIS DAMSCH 12-21-2008 10:02 AM

-8 here right now in the beautiful Chicago 'burbs. Wind is blowing and drifting the snow like made.
Why do I live in this climate again?

Brent Mills 12-21-2008 11:07 AM

About 12" at my place right now. I love the snow...So much for global warming! :D

Ron61 12-21-2008 11:37 AM

Only a couple of inches on the hills here but it is in the low 20s the past couple of mornings. It is trying to rain right now and just making a mess of everything. This Global Warming is freezing me.

Ron :)
