Anybody with a Cobra in the state of Ohio is welcome. The farm has plenty of room. It has fishing ponds and a enclosed shelter house.

Cindy and I both work that day until 2:00. By the time we could get there it would be 4:00- 5:00, is that to late ?

cobrakalis 07-01-2003 05:47 AM

Les, Try to make it, Do the best you can. I am not sure how long we will be going. We should still be there by 4 or 5. Also any fisherman out there can bring fishing poles to fish the two ponds on the farm. The ponds are stocked with Bass and Bluegill.

See you then. Bye the way, check out my thread on Solon Cruise-In on the 29th.

JACK

Jack, rain or shine it's on. Rained earlier this morning where I'm at and hoping further rain holds off. Per weather.com looks like all the rain is south of the event. Hope to see you there.

WE invested $ 37,000 in a truck and trailer and $ 30,000 in a car, drove 175 miles and spent $ 23.00 in gas, got lost. Just to eat a hamburger and watch some kids fish, now is that a deal.
We also saw about 17/18 Cobras, old friends and met some great new people. Thanks Gary for the great location and the hospitality. Had a great time but I missed my nap.
Also thanks to Dan for the charcoal and the great cooking.
We hope everybody made it home safely.
I also have about 17 pictures but being a technical idiot I can't post them. If some one will post them, send me your e-mail address and I will start sending them.

Hey Dan,
I was just looking over the pictures and I just happened to catch a pic of you and my wife heading for the woods. Is there anything I should know?

Thanks to everybody who attended our 2nd annual Cobra picnic. I want to thank Dan, Dave and Steve for assisting me in the set-up and cooking. Most of all the weather did cooperate, we even had that rare occurence of sunshine at the picnic. NO RAIN !!! We will do it again next year. We had a total of 18 Cobras at this years picnic. Thanks again!!!!

Gary

PS The kids had a heck of a fishing derby going.

Dan Stryffeler 08-04-2003 05:32 AM

Got a shower in the car on the way home... and it's not even the end of the month! Good news, the windshield wipers work!!! Bad news... I couldn't keep up with Steve and Hitomi's mini-van; ugh!

Another terrific picnic; great cars, people, food (best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had... oh, oh... isn't that how the DVSF thing started?).

Jack... Judy and I just wanted to see if a tree fell in the woods, and nobody was around to hear it... will it still rain on the NOCC picnics?

Thanks Gary and Karen for hosting again.

- Dan
