I had put together a really nice 20 mile cruise through Mid-Ohio Country with a second to last stop being the track for a photo op then the final stop being Miller Time at Buck's. I even have turn by turn maps printed in case someone wanted to either set a land speed record or walk - in either event not sticking w/ the crowd. But I'm going to call the official time of death 2:04PM. Not going to happen. You're right - nothing but rain on the radar, and it's SOAKING wet up here. Not even that hazy wet road mist that usually happens...it is RAINING steady. We can go to Bucks, feel good about having an extra beer since there are no Cobras, and we can narrate through the cruise making "vroom vroom" noises. Since I've driven the route enough times in my life, I'll buy a beer for whoever makes the most "accurate" vroom vroom noises. :JEKYLHYDE Still hoping to see you all here in a couple of hours.... We Tried!
Weather (Steady rain) stopped & cleared here at around 2:30 PM, 52 degrees now, low 46 forecasted....had "Venom2" all shined up & ready to go...til I took a look at the weather forecast for Mansfield area...calling for steady rain thru 9-10PM. Sorry next time... or Whitby's starts shipping their soft-tops.....weather permitting!:( :( ::mad:

Thanks to those who stuck it out. Good times! We even got some dry weather and moderately dry roads for the cruise I had planned.
Looking forward to some races at Mid-Ohio with everyone and putting together the best Cobra Calendar to date!! Thanks to those who came, hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Didn't get to do everything planned (thanks, rain...) but that's alright. See you all again soon... JP |
