Talking OCC Fall Foliage Cruise - Mohican S.P.

OHIO COBRA CLUB FALL FOLIAGE CRUISE!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's hard to believe, but it is drawing near to that time of the year...one of the last opportunities for us to all get out and enjoy our cars (without ski parkas, at least!) is a matter of weeks (hopefully more than a few weeks!) away.

The foliage in North Central Ohio usually peaks in early-to-mid October. Rather than trying to pinpoint a weather/climate/meteorological event in Ohio and go down the slippery slope of rescheduling, etc... let's set a date NOW.

The weekends that should pretty well span the best Ohio foliage are:

10/1-3
10/8-10
10/15-17

I need to know ASAP (PLEEAAASE help me out here from a planning perspective) if you would be leaning more towards an overnight event or a drive in, drive out in one day type event. If you reply to this thread and are interested in this event, please tell me if you want it to be overnight and give me a suggestion for one of those three weekends.

There are quite a few hotels in the Lexington/Mansfield/Loudonville area. Staying right at Mohican will be difficult, as the primary foliage weekends book early and are quite pricey. The good news is that if we booked a group of rooms in Lexington or Mansfield, the drive out to Mohican is quite beautiful.

Please reply to this thread and weigh in on the overnight thing. If there is enough interest, I will call a hotel for a group rate. If that's the case and you do not want to stay over, obviously that's fine. I will set up a meeting location for the morning of the cruise. On the flip side, if there is not enough interest to merit calling for a group rate, you should still get reservations if it means you will do the cruise with us!!!

Let's dispel the myth that the Ohio Cobra Club doesn't do anything together! It sure would be nice to see 15-20 Cobras (or more!!!) driving through the rolling hills of Richland and Ashland County!

If the interest is here, I will set everything up... meeting places, places to go from there, group breakfast, whatever you all want the event to be. But let's get the interest first...no matter what we do, let's get a group together to cruise the hills of North Central Ohio!!

Thanks in advance for your speedy replies.....
