If you know the answer, why don't you just post it up for us instead of telling us to buy the Registry????? Or is it "top secret?" :rolleyes:

Let's try it again:

CSX = Cobra Shelby Export (meant for USA)

COB = Cobra Britain

COX = Cobra Export (meant for other than Britain)

OK, I checked the Legate book, p53 as suggested.
So the 'C' was just the next letter along in the handwritten AC ledger, B having been used for the Ace. Happened to coincide with C for Cobra, but thats all. S for Shelby, X for export.

COB = UK Cars (not quite the same area as Britain btw !)
COX = LH drive exports for europe and non-US markets.

No other details on the numbering system given in the book as far as i can see.

A little off the subject but... educate me;
England is part of Great Britian.
"Britian" is not the same as the United Kingdom?
Great Britian and "Britian" ARE the same though, right?:confused:

Larry, you are going to have either buy or borrow the book "A History of Modern Britain: 1714 to the Present" and go to page 304 for the answer. Seek and ye shall find.
