Original Halibrand Cobra Wheels
Well I am very torn about it but I have made the decision to sell my set of original magnesium Halibrand Cobra wheels. These came from an original CSX car that was raced and through the restorer these came to me. They are the FIA pattern. Still have the original Goodyear race tires also and in great shape. I will post some photos tomorrow and have the intention of putting them on eBay. Thought I would post here first as I know there are a number of good homes they can go to from our members. Also have some buyers ready through the restorer that works on my car. They won't be cheap. I sold a similar set but the other pattern and with no tires to an original Cobra owner for $5,000 a few months ago. These are more rare and I think worth more but certainly the value is based on who wants to pay what. Email me if you are interested in talking off line before I put them on eBay and stay tuned for photos tomorrow. Unless I change my mind again.

Well my photos are too big to post directly here so I am posting a link to the current photos. Shows all wheels front and back in their current shape after my resoration shop cleaned them up, painted the centers black, and had the tire lettering repainted. Plus close ups of each wheel, casting codes, and close ups of Blue Streak racing tires. I still can't believe I am selling these especially knowing I will never be able to obtain something like this again but I think it is time to let them go. Link of photos here. eBay auction to come, I think.

Plus here is a photo before they were touched up in black by my restoration shop.

And this is a photo of one after the centers were painted black by my restoration shop but before the white lettering was updated on the tires.

Oh you are killing me and making me change my mind again. I will be thinking of this as I lay in bed and may get up and end the auction. Thanks for the comment. They are pretty amazing.

Mount them on the wall and call them wall art. I know a guy who did that with the X pipe from his GT500 when changed to an H pipe. Kinda cool.

FYI - Also going to throw a few other rare items up for sale on eBay. Including an original Raydyot mirror, original Stewart Warner fuel pump, and a very rare original Enots filler cap (dull finish, not chromed) in original packaging. Plus a few other nice reproduction items.
