260/289 fuse box used

What are the correct fuse box and voltage regulator used for:

1) 260 cars

2) 289 cars

3) 427 cars (Bonus question)

Hey Jeff
From my chassis manual for 289:

Fuse box is Lucas SF4
Voltage Regulator (Control Box) is RB106/2
Keep in mind that the manual shows a Lucas generator C40-1, not an alternator.

427 and 260 stuff I'm not sure of.

Larry

Thanks I too have that same information in my manual.
I think later 289's used a std Ford voltage regulator, Lucas DB10 fuse box. The earlier alternator equiped 289's might have used Lucas SF4 Bakelight type fusebox?

Anyone else?

The DB10 is not a fuse box, it is a "Brake Switch Override Relay"

Here is how a modern version of the DB10 works.

Is the SF4 correct?

CSX2201 - CSX2589 USA specification (COX/COB done differently) street cars used Ford supplied wiring throughout. The fuse block is a FoMoCoŽ marked molding. They are installed in just about the hardest place you can imagine to access behind the dash blocked by the steering column, dash brace, and lots of wiring loom bundle.
