Message resurrection time...
Good Evening! I am curious if anyone knows the equivalent ACDelco Part # for the ignition switch that replaced the D1460? I am also curious if anyone uses the Lucas 31973 ignition switch in their car and if you have had any issues?
I am making the move from very part time driver to the guy paying the bills on my dad's ERA. Just going through some stuff and hoping the more tenured owner/operators can weigh in. Thanks! Eric

I was all about originality when I built my Cobra, so I have all Lucas switches and the ignition switch has not had any issues. Thinking about it now, I would probably use a switch that looks the same, but has a better build quality.

Any major autoparts store can get it for you, or may even have it in stock.

Thank you very much fellas for the replies! I actually found an Ebay seller from the UK selling the Lucas switches...$50 with free shipping. I must have one of the earlier ACDelco switches as it has the matte finish knurled bezel. The ERA guys were nice enough to give me one of their stainless Lucas style bezels when I ordered some other stuff but the threads do not match up. After reading thru the messages here I realize that the switch threads need to be re tapped to match the new bezel threads. Thanks...again!
