Default CSX2xxx horns

Can anybody tell me what horn(s) CSX2xxx cars had as standard? Do they sound any good?
Cheers,
Glen

So what else would be period correct and could one conceivably use as a replacement on an original CSX2xxx?
Cheers,
Glen

Personally, I'd use a pair of replica Windtones:

Horns 12v - Horns & Spares from Holden Vintage & Classic

Roger

ps if you click on the horn photo you can hear what they sound like!

The horns were available on several different English makes of the period. A lot of the time when they do not work you can simply adjust the point gap per the Cobra chassis manual.

I just got a pair of the modern repro Windtones:
Pair of Windtone Horns - Horns & Spares from Holden Vintage & Classic
...and they look very close to the one pictured in the 289 Chassis Manual.

That's a good feature to be able to hear them. Some are disappointingly weak, but the GBP84 pair sound good and strong

The expression "whinging pom" came to mind when I saw this at worthpoint.
Original Pair Vintage Lucas 7H Whintone 12 Volt Horn (04/22/2011)...
Classic typo on the Whintones. That is a good (bad) example of searching parts by typos for ya.

Moss Motors has replicas of the Lucas horns although there are subtle differences.
