Default Alternator brackets

Does anybody have a source for the correct shape alternator mounting brackets for an early 289? I need to mount it high on the passenger's side (US), to an early 289 motor with passenger side water pump inlet. I'm wondering if the stock Mustang parts would work maybe? Maybe Nick makes some?

Thank you for your interest, here's a photo of the bracket assembly. I also offer many other 289 Cobra related parts for both street and competition models.
Thank you Dan!

John's brackets have arrived, and they are absolutely gorgeous. I know you shouldn't get worked up about a cast-iron bracket, but details like this make all the difference. Couldn't resist a play, and they just bolt right up, no messing.
I wish all reproduction parts were this good!

Hi there,

I am looking for a Cobra 289 Cast iron alternator bracket, would anyone be able to me? We are a company who specialise in fixing and restoring specialist sports car, specifically AC Cobra's. If anybody could point me in the right direction, it'd be most appreciated.

I can also be contact on Jasper@redlinepe.co.uk.

Many thanks,
Jasper

We are doing a "non-concours" version in aluminum. It will NOT have the logo and not be iron but will otherwise be dimensionally correct and work well on a 289/302. They will be available in raw alloy or powder coated in semi-gloss black.

The price point will be good for non-concours cars, Superformance cars, new CSX cars, etc.

We also have the correct alternator plug and pigtail for the Ford "1G" alternator used on the 289 Cobra: https://www.timemachineauto.com/parts-accessories/
