Default Intake manifold

did ford use a single four barrel manifold on 427 cobras in 1965 that was a medium rise and if they did what was part number, c5ae 9425-n?

I believe that is the correct part number for the 427 MR single 4 bbl intake that would have been used on a 427 block for an SC car with hood scoop. You have to consider that basically Shelby used what ever Ford sent him and then he made shop changes to motors to sell a car to a customer. I've read where some believe the Sidewinder was installed on some cars, but it's a 66 part number and maybe wasn't even available until 67 so not sure about that. It could only have been on very late cars.

That manifold (MR) would not have been used on a street roadster (flat hood) with either a 427 or 428 block as it would hit the hood.
