overflow tank

I need to lower the neck on my overflow tank so it fits under my hood. Does anyone know how much the originals were lowered, and if any places do this mod and the number to them?

The ERA manual shows 4.1" from the center of the top thermostat hole to the seam between the top and bottom halves of the tank. It also shows 8.4" maximum height from the center of the bottom thermostat hole to the top of the radiator cap mounting surface.

In addition the ERA has the hose coming out on the Left side.

Your car has different motor mounts, frame and hood than the ERA. Your required height could be quite different.

I am not sure how much that is lowered from OEM.

Any good radiator shop could do the job.
