Adam you said you got some arms. Who was your source? I have some arms that I believe are investment casting in 17-4 stainless steel. There seems to be some voids in the inside of the arms where they need to be bent. These arms have been on the market for a long time . Can they be bent safely? I dont know! Any engineers know the way to bend these arms safely? Can they be bent safely? If not can someone make a suggestion for material to machine them from solid and then bent without the need for heatreating afterwards.

They are same, just not bent.

I got them from cobra racing they seem like high quality parts not 100 percent sure about material, I think they are forged

Adam here is a link to Jeff's scratch thread. He changed to Girling race brakes. He had to change front steering arms and bend them. I believe they are the same as your arms. The link is to some pictures i posted of the void inside of the steering arm. My guess is that your arms will have the same voids to a lesser or greater degree. Jeff got his bent and I believe they have been working well. Go back a few more pages on Jeffs build o see what was involved using the arms. 289 progress........

Doing a 427 car but I think I will have to bend the arms the same way. Thanks for posting I at least have a reference now.

I think the ones Tom sells Are made to fit 289 and 427 cars.
