CSX2000 & Shelby 1000 In R&T May 2012
In the May 2012 issue of Road & Track magazine, is an article celebrating 50 years of Shelby. There are photos of CSX2000 along with some of the original road test data and various quotes from Carroll over the years. There is even a photo of the 260 motor, which is the first time I have seen it. The times I have seen CSX2000 at a museum or show, the hood is always closed. Also included are bits about his racing career before all of the Cobra development started.
There is information on the new super charged Shelby 1000 Mustang, looks to be a wild ride! Also listed are (6) significant Shelbys … GT-350, Daytona Coupe, 427 Cobra, GT500KR, GLH & Series 1.
Nothing new really, but a good overall view of all things Shelby … what a great 50 years!
