Can we get some clarification here?

Is this a SECOND DIFFERENT show in London OH on the SAME weekend?

..or, is this in combination with the London Show?

Explain, please.

Yes, this is a separate show in London at the fairgrounds for three days Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the same weekend.

Seagull81, you should go to LCS. I plan on going to LCS with my Cobra, as I have since 2005, and have my hotel room booked at the Hampton. We fully expect that the Cobras, Daytona Coupes, and GT40s will attend the LCS. We all know Cobras don't play well with others. This show is open to all hand-built autos. At Turn Key Nationals - Turn Key Nationals, you will see that on Sunday we have a special area for Cobras and Daytona Coupes to stop by and check out the show after leaving LCS on Sunday. Also, we chose to have Peter speak on Friday night vs Saturday night so we don't interfere with activities under the Big Tent on Saturday night. We also have seeing Peter open to the public and not contingent on being registered for the Turn-Key Nationals. This show is being put on by Bill Dyer. For those of you who have attended LCS, but don't know Bill, he is the guy in the white and black polka dot bike hat. Bill has a lot invested in the LCS, during his 14 yrs connected with the show. The focus of the show is not to be a profit center, but to help in continuing to grow the hobby. Over the last 14yrs, Bill been a part of a group(with the generosity of many on this site) that has donated @$830K to CF. This is the inaugural year of the London Turn-Key Nationals, and if possible, he will make a donation to CF.

Thank you,

Derek Pelzer

Does Mr. Brock know he is not going to speak at the London Cobra Show?

I guess he was selected for his involvement in the Corvette development, yes?

Bill Dyer has been trying to get Peter Brock to speak at LCS for many years, but he had other commitments on the LCS weekend. Peter understands this is for the London Turn-Key Nationals. Before Bill approached Peter this year, he gauged interest from the local Corvette and Datsun clubs and needs their attendance, along with Cobra owners to make the numbers work. They showed an interest in coming to hear Peter speak. Not to mention, his appearance coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Daytona.Bill plans to have Peter downtown London Saturday at LCS to see the show and experience the rides. Whether or not Peter speaks under the LCS tent Saturday night is up to the OCC board and officers.

Peter Brock at the Turnkey Nationals is going to be awesome. I plan on attending both LCS and the Turnkey Nationals. Peter is going to give his presentation at 6:30pm on Friday evening so to not conflict with the functions of LCS. So I'll probably do a LCS cruise on Friday morning, get a quick meal in the late afternoon, then go see Peter Brock at 6:30. After his presentation I'll head back to the Hampton and walk around the hotel parking lots looking at Cobras and seeing some friends. Saturday morning will be as usual with the parade into London, charity rides and then the dinner under the big tent. Yes these are two separate shows but I don't see a conflict as they will be catering to different segments of the kit car hobby. LCS is basically Cobra replicas, which I own one and enjoy, but the Turnkey Nationals will be for all other kit car types. Such as 33 coupes, GTM'S, 818's, Porsche replicas, and rat rods and home built rides, ect. It should be an interesting show, especially if you are interested in other kit car builds. And it will give the kit car manufacturers and vendors an extended time to display their products at the Madison County Fairgrounds in London Ohio. So if your interested in the kit car hobby beyond the Cobra replicas come check out The Turnkey Nationals, everyone is welcome.

I'm going to try and get up there this year. I think both shows will compliment each other. Gives me more to look forward to.

Dwight,
I'm going to pull it this year because I am going to get a venders spot to sell T-shirts.
I have some really nice new cobra and GT40 designs that I hope all will like.
I'm looking forward to seeing al my old friends and visiting with the wild and crazy Alabama rebels from Colbert County. Save me some of the clear stuff in the Mason jar will ya.

Hersh
