Southern Cal Mountain Run (SCMR XXIV)
We Cobra owners have been invited along by the Mission Valley Corvette group to join them on one of their "SCMR" outings. They'll be meeting up with more cars from the LA area at March RAFB, so there could be quite a few vehicles. Anyone interested in coming along, just show up! I'm looking forward to a good Cobra turnout so we can show them we enjoy our cars too. I've cut and pasted a section from the Corvette Forum and a link to the forum page it's from.

See you EARLY Saturday,
Hank Steckel
BDR #258
The Green one with Silver Stripes
SD Crew: In-n-out Burger just West of the 15 off Mira Mesa Blvd at 6 AM.
Everyone Else: March Air Force Base Museum off Van Buren at 7 - 7:30
We roll at 7:30 sharp. The 15 to the 215 to the 60 East and then the 243 up to Idyllwild. It's a great route.
Lunch at the Gnome in Idyllwild (I havn't called them but I'm sure they'll be happy to have us)
If anyone knows this route well please try to place yourself towards the front (especially if your car is really fast).
If someone is on your a$$ and there is nobody in front of you please let them pass safely.
We're not racing, we just like to move at a fast pace. Bring 2-way radios and radar detectors if you have them. See you Saturday Morning.

(I know that's really early but it should save us from any extreme heat or traffic)
