Is anybody else going to Carlisle this Weekend? The weather forcast calls for a few showers, but I am thinking of taking the family car in case I find some parts that I need.

It pretty much rains every year for Kit Cars at Carlisle. I'm going and showing my new aluminum chassis with C5 Vette suspension. With different body mounting clips it will take the following bodies (which I can supply), the Cobra, Daytona, Cheetah, Lotus 7 inspired roadster, and a 23 T bucket inspired hot rod. I also have quite a few parts that I am looking to sell, including 2 Cobra bodies. Have a safe trip, see you at the show! John

Yeah, I wanna go.
I was going to drive out friday and take a look. I have never been to this event but the forecast is for rain so I will probably stay home.
Later, Karl

It wouldn't be Kit Cars at Carlisle.
KarlSCX2498 Carl I have been going every yer since 95. ONLY 2 times has the weekend been nice for 3 days. You get rain or drizzy one day and the other 2 are OK, but not great. The rain beating on a steel roof, you can't heard the guys 2 foot away. 25+mile an hour winds, 40degrees midday temps. Walking in mud up to the ankles. You have to treat this like an adventure, and come prepared for anything. There is a nice little get together at Washington's crossing on June 7th. Nice bunch of people, pizza and soda for lunch, they go out on a cruise in the early afternoon and have dinner somewhere. Get about 45-50 cars. Check it out on tristate cobraclub or e-mail Krayfish for more info. The park is right on the river, bring a couple of folding chairs. Rick L.

I live 15 miles from Carlisle, so I'll probably stop over on Friday.

To avoid any confusion, I do not live 15 miles from Carlisle and will not be stopping over on Friday.

Chappy,
Now that was funny.
Bill S.
PS: For the record, I live 1.5 hours from Carlisle and maybe, just maybe if the stars align and the sun god decides to grace us with his well wishes, I may show up mid afternoon on Saturday

If you have never had the opportunity to see all of the cars you are
considering purchasing in person, than it is absolutely worth it.

I've driven 4 hours each way on the same day and already had a cobra. It was still worth it. Its the place to go if you're in the market.

If you are shopping for parts, pickup our sale flyer. I've got a bunch of good stuff in the van that we are parting with.
If you are in the market for a Cobra it is a great event to see so many under one roof and find the manufacturer that is right for you (for whatever you are after). Look me up if I can help in any way.
If you are seriously in the market and want a lot of face time and have many questions then a rainy Friday is a golden opportunity to speak with us before it gets overly busy on a sunny Saturday.
See you there...

Carlisle and rain seem to go hand in hand for some reason. Went 3 times out of the last 4 years. Live in virginia so its probably a about 2.5 hour drive. Usually go on Saturday when things are booming and stay away on Sunday when the vendors are starting to pack up to leave. Great fun! Never seem to get tired of walking around like a kid in a candy store.

Rain on Friday, nice on Sat and Sunday.
Carlisle was wet again. Grass was wet and about 1" of mud at 5:30 pm. Sat and Sunday are to be nice. Good luck to all who visit. Rick L.
