Bill-
How tall are these lifts? Do you know how much overhead clearance is necessary? I would be interested in one if it would would fit in my garage without pushing the car through the roof%/ a pic wouldn't be bad. Thanks, Mike |
Pictures on their way. Picture showing must, with mustang lifted 5.5 feet in the air. Can go higher I'm sure.
Bill S. dover rotary lifts is the company who produced them. They are not mine, I'm just posting them for a friend. |
Bill:
What is the make of them? There are many types and many models which provide different lift heights. I am currently having two lifts put into my garages and have done a lot of research on this. They are not all made alike. While the two post lifts are great I have been advised they are really not suitable for most residential applications (flooring support can be an issue. The four post units are great. I have choose a mfg. named Backyard Buddy which I feel is superior to any of them for a residential use. While they are probably the most expensive (around $3,400 each) others can be found at prices ranging from $1800 - $2500. Just to let you know. jim |
Bill-
Forget it, I'm going to save the $$ and just bring my car over to Jim's house :) Jim, you're my new Backyard Buddy:LOL: Mike |
Bill, Could you please call me on my cell (860-790-0140) or email me a # to contact (thorconstr@msn.com) about the lifts? Thanks, Al

Al,
You have mail. Bill S. |
Jim,
I've seen the backyard buddy..While a nice and simple unit, they do not compare to these commercial grade items. Since I'm not involved with the sale, nor am I making any money off of them, I am staying objective....The company that makes these is the Dover Rotary Lift Company or Dover Industry Quality pieces, the guy that rents the spot where these are sitting wants to put in a extra large frame machine for bodywork, and the owner of the property wants them sold before he can do so............. A win, win situation, as Anthony the body shop owner loves to work on plastic cobras, and has done six so far this year that I know about......... Bill S. |

mrmustang says these lifts are ROTARY LIFTs :
i have two lifts in my garage, one a ROTARY LIFT 2 post assymetrical. a GREAT lift for those considering these listed here for sale. Check out the new prices and you will see these used are at a considerable savings. I have had NO problems with mine. see : http://rotary-lift.com/ When I bought my Rotary lift they were also the SAME lifts that were sold to Ford dealers by ROTUNDA< except they painted the Rotunda lifts red instead of stock Rotary lift blue and put a Rotunda label on them . Not sure if they are still the Rotunda source or not. They also used to be the supplier for the K-Mart car service center lifts, again, not sure about now. like other lifts, Rotary is a good brand. FYI> bill |
