I sent you a private message through Club Cobra. For some reason I could not send you one through my regular e-mail. I am interested in a 4-post lift. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Bill

Ramp Question

My garage has a 3 ft wide concrete step (req by code) around the inside walls. This leaves me w/approx. 17ft of surface for the length of the 4 poster... When I look at the diagram contained in this thread it shows that the ramps add another 3ft to the OAL dimension and it exceeds my 17ft.. Do the ramps hinge or come off?
Thanks,
Dave

coleman 03-20-2005 05:59 AM

yes, approach ramps are typically removable on all such lifts...

one lift that we looked at was different, but the ramps were hinged and essentially retracted (swung down) when the lift was raised.

now if you do intend to remove and replace them very often, you may want to consider the aluminum ramps as opposed to the metal ones that typically come with these lifts.
the aluminum ramps are roughly half the weight (varies slightly).
but in one case it is 36 lbs vs ~62 lbs for each ramp.

2 post lift?

I sent you an email, but have gotten no reply. I am interested in a lift as well, but I would rather have a 2 post design. Any chance this could be added to the group purchase? Can you send me the details of the current deal?

Thanks
Paul

ME TOO!

I have been looking at the twin post lifts, but I like the mobility of the 4 poster.

Coleman,
Were you able to get out the prices and specs on the lift yesterday ? I am not sure if you had gotten my e-mail If not could you send it to Oblueeyes@aol.com.
Thanks Chris

Michael4yah 03-21-2005 09:14 AM

Coleman , not trying to hurry you. Just wanted you to send me the final prices etc. Send to Michael4yah@msn.com Thanks Michael

Michael4yah 03-21-2005 10:23 AM

dmfconsult ,
If this doesnt work out for you try Auto Lifters or Rotary. Both American companies who offer 4 post lifts that are around 15'3-15'10 long including the ramps.

coleman 03-21-2005 06:54 PM

sorry, guys ... i meant to send out an e-mail yesterday but want to give autolifters until tomorrow to get one more quote/offer in.
