Coleman,

Is the Autolifters buy dead?

Jim

coleman 04-07-2005 06:13 PM

no. we have 13 of 20 autolifters...
now, if you want to do what another member did and call them to see what deal you can make wrt the group buy that may be the best bet.

i think fredhead only paid 130 more than this group buy price and then will be refunded the difference once we get our 20 total (including fredhead) ... i don't see why they would extend the same offer to the rest of you! :)

just be sure to let me know so i can count you in, but already purchased. ... i think freadhead spoke with richard, their sales manager.

AllStarLift Group Buy...

... is a go!
Go ahead and call Susie (or her sister, Mary?) and order your lift if you wanted an AllStarLift, 800-826-7237.

She'll need some simple information like lift type, color, and whether it's pickup or delivery... go ahead and mention that you are part of this group buy just in case -- they know about us :)

For me,

SS-7000
black
i'm going to try to pick mine up saturday morning immediately after completion

2x ramps, caster kit, 3x drip pans, 2x 12" jacking trays

as for payment, i'll pay when i pick it up.
Get your order in ASAP because metal price is going up and she may not be able to extend this offer beyond the initial 10 people unless you order today.

As for the AutoLifters, we are still at 13 or 15 of 20. We're getting close...

Coleman, thanks again for doing the work and taking the lumps.

Jim

coleman 04-08-2005 07:21 PM

I'm still hoping out hope that we get our 20 autolifters as well...

And please post install pics when you get yours!

I am interested in the Autolifters group buy. I am obviously a Mopar guy but have been a "lurker" here for a while. I called Autolifters a month ago and got a price of $3485 w/ shipping to Ohio. It included (M80XT, 2 12"jack trays, 3 drip pans, 2 ramps, and the casters). I hate buying anything sight unseen but was convinced of my choice when I received the DVD. They actually took a loaded lift(car on top) and rammed into the leg with a tow motor, bending it. Lift stayed up.
My best friend's dad has been accumulating parts for his Cobra copy for a couple of years and we enjoy helping him from time to time. He has wanted one forever and is getting close to seeing his dream come true. He has a Backyard Buddy and it is very nice but the cost and sales tax is just too much for me.

Hopefully I can get in on this buy?

coleman 04-13-2005 02:08 PM

SSAAHemiFan , we need a few more autolifters to start the official group buy. Send me an e-mail to get the ball rolling...

btw, our group buy price will be 2690 for those same items sans shipping when we have our 20 minimum.

now, i haven't heard from them in a week & i doubt they'd let us keep open indefinitely but even mentioning this group buy should save you a few hundred if you are impatient and still help the rest of us as long as you let both autolifters and me know.

Read this :)
Quote:

To heck with it, I decided to suck it up and pay the freight, so to speak. I went ahead and ordered the Autolifters M6 through Richard today, with all the goodies that were included in the group buy quote, except for $20 more I substituted the 12 inch jack trays instead of the 8 inchers. Richard said if the Cobra group reaches the magic 20 number, they would reimburse me the amount I paid over the group buy quote, and he would include my purchase in the group buy column. Exclusive of shipping, this is a great deal on an excellent lift. I have researched lifts to death, and I think this is the best one for my needs.
Sincerely,
Nick Solandros

E MAIL SENT.. I will hang lose a while and see how this pans out. I agree that the prices can't be good forever with steel going crazy. I read a article by autolifters owner saying if things keep up he will stop selling lifts as he isn't making any money. The imports are killing him and everyone else. Let's help a AMERICAN company out guys!!!!

Blue66 04-13-2005 04:12 PM

Dammmmm this is a long thread !!! I bought a 4 post lift 5 years ago ... 12,000 # with the air jack ... I paid $4500 installed . They did it in 4-5 hours .. Mine is bolted to the floor .. Good Luck guy's . After you get them you will never want to be without one !!:3DSMILE:

coleman 05-06-2005 06:34 AM

It looks like AutoLifters has abruptly moved away from the auto lift business...

AllStarLifts is the only company left in our group purchase!
And for 2150, it's a bargain!

ERA649 05-06-2005 04:42 PM

What happened to Autolifters?
I called the phone # and the tape said it was disconnected.

coleman 05-06-2005 05:23 PM

I don't even know ... I'm assuming that they are moving in a different direction -- most likely can't keep competing with cheap import lifts.

lovehamr 06-20-2005 06:57 PM

Guys, you may want to read this. Sucks for me as I already have an Autolifters lift.

I've had my AllStarLift for many weeks now... I couldn't be happier.

lovehamr 06-22-2005 08:07 PM

Don't get me wrong, my lift is great. I love this rascal. But now that the company is insolvent(SP?). what's left of my warranty isn't worth much. Not that it looks like I'll need it.

Steve
