Wanted - fake Halibrand fiberglass whee cover
These are the fake wheel covers that were popular on Superformance and others.
I lost one of these, and need to replace. I need the spinner and the fiberclass cover.
Thanks,
John Dean

John,
try
http://www.backdraftracing.com/
and ask for the KCC version of this part.
BDR, now built in Durban evolved from the KCC, built in Johannesburg.
they also used them.
the KCC wing nut was made around a water pipe nut, so the thread on your wheel should eb a water pipe thread.

Well, I am going to Johannesburg in April, maybe I can find one there somewhere.
Actually i located one from Dynamic Motorsports, they were very helpful.......all seem like good folks there.
If Durban is not too far from Johannesburg, i may go by and pay BDR factory a visit. Seems like South Africa has quite a Cobra industry going on.

jdean,
Durban is about 4.5h easy drive from Johannesburg, or a jump by plane.
BDR / Tr-Tec is 5 minutes from the airport, rather go to Durban then trying to find KCC in JHB.
Airfare is about USD100 with www.kulula.com, they accept credit cards.

I actually saw some really good (primed, not painted)...
...at Ron Butler's in Ventura CA. They fit regular axle-hubs and the spinner is the same as used on a real Trico/Halibrand (I think)...Give him a call (805) 649-6000. Good Luck.

John,
I found one, that I kept as a sample to duplicate them one day.
See me in Cape Town (2 hours flight from Durban or Johannesburg) and get it for free.
And have a look at the "original" chassis that I build.
