and joy, or in some cases, the rotten seed (my broken 427 as an example),
and he'll do it with excellent equipment and to wherever you want it.
<p>My schedule ended up being kind of messed up but Rich worked with me and
his other clients on scheduling, which I thought was great, as this
particular trip included dropping off a kit, picking up my engine, picking
up Turk's ERA, and then delivery of my engine and Turk's now ex ERA.
Rich is a great guy who just loves to get out on the road, and most
importantly really cares about the cars we drive. He's got proper
insurance and good new equipment so you can feel comfortable leaving it in
Rich's hands. Give him a call at 402-707-4552 or mail

I still didn't think it was NOT too cool to load up a broken down 428 on the same transport with the famous 593. I almost sent him away empty.
Brent is absolutely right. Give Rich a try for your individual needs. He is VERY reliable, and takes care of Cobras as if they were his own. He is very familiar with Cobras, and I believe he works for Shell Valley and knows how to tie them properly and how to take care of them.
He will remain in constant contact with you before and after he picks up your car. He is currently towing with a 2 car enclosed trailer. So you get personalized service and he is able to carry loose parts, like engines, transmissions, side pipes and boxes along with your car.
Highly recommended.

Damn it, what is it with everyone calling my 427 a 428 tonight? It is a center oiler, but it's still a 427, although it does have a 428 crank, so that's not a 427 or a 428.....errrrrr.....nevermind....

427, 428 what's the diff. It is broke, ain't it?
I guess we think if it is not a Side Oiler, it might as well be a 428. A step above a small block.
Hey Brent. get used to it....This is the way it has been around here lately when it comes to engine discussions.
What is next?
Maybe you can request a forum for yourself just for the 427 CENTER OILERS...
Be very careful, some of the moderators have hair triggers when it comes to engine discussions. Right Ron??

Yup, and after George is done with it I'm slapping the 1963 station wagon body on my frame; Cobras are overrated.

Center Oiler or side oiler la de da….If I remember correctly Ford went to the side oiler because the center oiler had oiling PROBLEMS… A side oiler is just a fix for a block that needed to be redesigned… like the CSX ALUMINUM 427 with there own proprietary oiling system that is superior and still a CSX 427 LOL…..
I just had to get that in
I very much agree with Turks endorsement about Rich Lacy. He delivered my ERA to me coast to coast and delivered it as promiced. I will use him again and I will highly recommend him.
Good Job Rich!!!

Rich is great and you are all right....he really does enjoy and cares about the cars he has in his trailers......BUT
we're balancing his engine for the 65 GT350 with the Paxton on it now...so look out...he may be a little busier soon....he loves to Road Race and Spring is just around the corner!

Just to second the comments from Brent and Turk, Rich does a great job. He was even thoughtful enough to remind me to get a picture of the car while it was still in the trailer.

another recommendation for Rich... based on recommendations from this site I had sent emails to Rich for a price and timing quote on a car I was going to look at in Denver . As it turned out he was in Denver the day I closed the deal on the car on Jan 4th after inspecting same and 1-1/2 hrs later he had the car loaded on a trailer from the sellers house. The car was delivered to me in Detroit by his brother Doug on Jan 7th...the car arrived in perfect condition ... pleasant fast service..it doesn't get any better than that. Also , I had contacted other national carriers who wanted 1,2 or 3 weeks to make a load. In my mind, once ya own the car ya want it out of the seller's location and I was not going to wait for those national carriers to guesstimate when they could get it and when they could deliver it, even if i could have saved some bucks. Rich and Doug get my vote...next purchase, they will be my carrier of choice without calling anyone else. Bill Wells.

Rich's GT 350
Is it a '65 or '66? I thought that the side plexiglass rear window were only common to the '66. I know my '66 had them, and my friends '65 had the louver type inserts. We sure had alot of fun with those cars back then, and then there were The Tickets
Still a nice looking car Rich!

Would like to thank everone for the good reveiws! My brother is now on line helping me with your hauls. We really enjoy working with and meeting all of you. We try hard to do a good job and give you the service you deserve and pay for! Looking foreward to working with everyone in the future. Thanks, Rich's Classic Transport
PS. Yes my car is a 1966 GT-350. It is a real rush for an old guy like me to get out on the track at speed with a car like this!

Rich Lacey
Rich brought our new Shell Valey cobra to us the same time he brought the ERA car to Ohio. Even though he was on a deadline he he worked around my busy schedual. He unloaded the car put my wheels and tires on it and let my wife photogragh our new car as well as see the ERA car a get some pics of it before I got home from work. When I arrived the cobra was in the garage already with nothing for me to do but admire it. Rich then took the time to go over the car and parts with me before leaving to deliver the ERA car. Rich was a pleasure to work with and did so at a reasonable price I highly recomend him.
Thanks
Doc
