2007 Connecticut Emissions Requirements
I just posted in the New England Form but couldn't copy it here so I'll repeat that one. Just ordered 427 Cobra from ERA. Checked DMV site for Composite vehicles. Suprise, I will need to meet 1980 engine emissions requirement of 220ppm HC and 1.3% CO. I don't believe any big block could meet that requirement without EFI and Cats. This was apparently set by our state legislature. I was told thet the requirement might be revised for the better this coming legislative session, but not by much. My suggestion for anyone buying or driving a replica of any kind to check what your stet is doing to vehicle laws that effect your vehicle. There is still a move afoot in this state to force these cars off the road by most likely very few.

Write to SEMA and ask their opinion as to what is being done in each state as well as federal laws. They are probably the best lobby we have to reverse these restrictions for limited production and home built automobiles. Badger
