Clois,
Just remember to hand out mowing blades. It's a tricky track, and the late apex's love to spit you out into the alfalfa. I still need to send George an invoice for mowing half of his fields with my fan blades.
GREAT track, GREAT hosts.

Clois and I hope to see all of the regulars there and maybe with the new location some first timers too! We realize for some it will be a longer drive, for some it is about the same but for many others it will be close enough to give it a try. It should be an interesting year. I think George will be an awesome host.

All ready have the Hotel reserved
I'm staying at the Holiday express. If it's anything like the one in Collinville MO. it's top line. I know the rooms are filling up fast in the area because of a MAJOR football game this week end. If you are thinking of going, reserve a room NOW. As long as you give a 48 hour cancellation. there is no charge to you. Alot of guys have talked about going to a new track, big track, and Safer track. You will also get some higher speeds here too. There will be some other special events at the track in the evenings. Gessford Machine Shop will have tours. I myself am looking to see where the magic is done. It's an extra 400 miles for me to travel, I do solo runs. I am looking forward to seeing the old gang as well as some of the guys that have been out of touch the last couple of years. Circle these days on the calender. Hope you guys can make it. Rick Lake

Here's the link to the hotel - http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/hsihi
Is there a special room rate setup as in the past? Looks like about $100/night here.

Here is the deal on the hotel. I just called the hotel and they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you book on line then you are locked in. You will need to call the hotel to get the R&G rate anyway. The secret here is don't do it on line.

I for one am very excited about the new venue.
Dean and Clois work extremely hard to keep this event around. I know they have to put up their own bucks to get things started. In the past they donated most of their work because they love this event as I do. So anything I can do to help just let me know.
This will be a great year for R&G. I do hope the T-shirts will be a little better though.

Hey Hersh,
Good to hear from you and I hope the holidays treated you well. You have been a great help in the past. I will be calling in a few weeks about some design work for our personalized Golf shirts. I am excited about moving Run N Gun to MPH in Hastings, Nebraska. Feedback has been better than we expected especially since we are adding the pony cars to the mix.
Clois

We are still working on all the updates etc. and as soon as we have some solid information we can post it. As far as the Hotel is concerned we are claiming the Holiday Inn Express as our host hotel in Hastings, Nebraska. I believe the room rates are around $80-$85.
There will be some changes to the venue to incorporate adding a couple of new classes as well this year. In addition to the kit cars we are going to add a PONY CAR CLASS which will include Pony Cars classified as either Vintage or Late Model. This class will be limited to 35 cars. Additionally, there will be only two sub classes either: Street or Pro. So if you are interested in one of the Pony classes then check back with us later this month. The dates have been fixed to September 23-25, 2010 but other details are being worked out now.
Since we have lost Gateway for 2010 your Run N Gun Administrators are solely responsible for the costs, but that doesn't mean that the awards, event or atmosphere are going to change, in fact we think we can do better and not increase costs. In fact with George Anderson's help we are hoping to get some sponsors like Edelbrock, Baer Brakes, etc. One thing we did hear from this post was to Keep It Simple and we are going to try do just that without compromising the intent of Run N Gun. This will be Run N Guns 23rd Anneversary so you know we have to make it a worthy event.
There will be more to come in the coming weeks as we refine the 2010 schedule. We have some exciting things that is going to make this years Run N Gun one of the Best ever.

Use caution when reserving a room at Holiday Inn. You can't cancel the reservation. If you don't show, you pay anyway. If you cancel, they'll sell the room to some one else and charge you too.
