Gasoline under $3.00 per Gal...
That is my prediction by October 1, 2008 which I think will make Run N Gun a super deal and it is our Anneversary.
Yep, this year marks the 21st Anneversary of Run N Gun and we think this is going to be the best ever. Our Manufacturers Row, Vendors, Swap Meet, Free Driving Clinics, Free Seminars, Saturday Car Show, Door Prizes, etc. and All entrants and spectators and spectators are eligable. We will talk about the "etc." later! There are several way's for you to participate this year. The first is as a Run N Gun Participant inwhich you will participate on the road course, auto cross and drag strip. Each vehicle will be assigned a transponder ito mount on their car if they don't have their own. Each lap on the road course will be recorded and your best time will used to determine your placement in your class (we have lots of opportunities to trophy). The second way is to register for "Optiom #2-The Run N Gun Experience" . This will give you a taste of Run N Gun for a very small cost. Option #2 gets you into the event and provides you with a secure designated parking spot inside the pits. You will also be treated to a lunch session on the road course during the lunch break on Friday plus you will receive a ticket to our Awards Banquet on Friday night at the Casino Queen Hotel (additional tickets are $25), you will be entitled to free entry of your car in the first annual Run N Gun Car Show on Saturday, seminars, door prizes, daily drawings for gas cards, plus on Saturday you get to make three passes on the drag strip for your own timed runs. The third way is as a spectator inwhich you can visit with the various manufacturers, vendors, swap meet, seminars, test drives, car show and if you would like to join us at the banquet you are welcome to join us for $25 per person. We think we have a pretty good package this year and we have some place's still available and our guest hotel is available to participants and spectators with a significant discount avilable just for mentioning you are attending Run N Gun. Check out our web site and forums for additional informantion or email me at: clharlan@dcpmidstream.com. http://www.runngun.net Clois Harlan |

Every year like clockwork gasoline prices go up in May and dont come down much until after Labor Day....but of course the "reasons" are always different.....plus once they ratchet up, they never quite come down to as low as they were the previous year.

Perspective
2007: $3.00 gas :(
2008: $3.00 gas :D:3DSMILE: |
It's 3.85 for deisel four weeks to go!!Keep comin DOWN!!
|
Real cobra owners don't sweat 'premium' fuel prices, on the other hand, I would like to see lower diesel prices. My business could use the additional revenue.
|
Lucky you aren't in Hawaii - diesel is still about $5.30/gal.
Gas has dropped about 7 cents from its peak at $4.59/gal for premium. I was paying only $3.60/gal in Montgomery, TX for premium during my visit this last week. |
A fill up of both car and truck yesterday yielded these prices:
91 oct unl 3.59/gal Diesel 3.85/gal Not where I had hoped it would be but a least it is going in the right direction. I think we could see even lower prices if the Hurricane's would take a break in the Gulf. Clois |
It's a sad day when we "Perceive" a good deal to be $3.50 per gal............yuk! it makes me sick.
|
Still cheaper than bottled water!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see the cost of water, especially in the southwest if and when hydrogen fueled cars hit the road!!! Will the wator vapor emissions from hydrogen cars cause increase cloud cover and cause global cooling? Just wondering!!
See you at Run n Gun!!! John |
It still has another $.79 to go here before we see $3.00 a gallon. We just got 91 Octane below $4.00 a gallon this past week.
|
This whole price thing is out of control...we need to invest in some new refineries as unpopular as they are!
Clois |
$3.35 for 87 regular, $3.55 for 91 octane here is Taxachusetts.
Its 75°F outside and sunny. Just finished lunch, so I guess its time for a ride. |
You're 5 cents cheaper than us on your gasoline.
I guess I live in TAXACHUSETTS! |
OK it just shot up a dollar here,Thats it im going electric, dam i hate these oil $#%^ companies.Taking it up the tail pipe again!!!
|
Word is Ike shut down twenty percent of the refineries or 3.8mill gall a day. Here we go again!

???????????????
Regular in the foothills of SC (just down the mountain from us) is at $5.59 per gal. if they have it to sell; as I have seen on the TV news. Gas up here in Cashiers, NC is normally $.20 +/- higher than than down in SC, haven't had to buy any this weekend, so that's a good thing. It wasn't long ago that VP 110 was about $5.00 per gal - Clois, I hope these price gouging oil companies don't put a damper on your Run and Gun event. I wish we could make it there and meet up with y'all, but it looks pretty dim this year. Carol's and my prayers are with all of our fellow members in IKE's path. TL  |
I may have missed this one...a little!
But, gasoline is lower and is expected to continue to drop in price but it may not get to below $3/gal My Bad! Today's pump price was $3.34 at the Quick Trips.
We still have a few spots left for this years Run N Gun Nationals so for all of you that intentionally waited until the last minute well it's about here! Online and Mail In Registration will end on Friday October 4, 2008 but if we still have some spaces available we will make a post on that Friday to announce the available spaces left. Then you can register at the track. For those of you that have never been to Run N Gun before, we want you to know we have classes for all of you. Wheather you have never driven your Cobra over 70 mph (not very likely) or never hurried around a corner (also not very likely) we have a class for you that will allow you to learn how to drive safely and confidently. We have FREE driving instructors that will ride with you and teach you the fundimentals of how to drive. This would cost you upwards of $2000 at a driving school. We have FREE seminars to help you decide the proper set up for your car albeit street or track. And we have professionals that can answer your questions about your engine selection, again for free! This is a great event and I hope some of you will visit as a spectator this year and participate next year! You are going to love what you see. Here is our site: http://www.runngun.net Clois Harlan |
