Thread on original parts?
Does anyone remember how far back the thread that Mickmate started on all the donor parts that went into the original cars is? I tried to look it up, but gave up after a short search. Can't remember the heading either for a search?
Seems like that would be a great thread to have moved over to this forum if we could find it and get Brent to move it for us?
Thanks, Bob

You can copy the info on a new post here..or just post a link to the thread.
...but that thread has general appeal beyond scratchbuilding, so it shouldn't be moved.
I'll find it for ya...

Ron,
Thanks, I found it- any chance of having it moved to this forum? It's a fairly long thread so I'm not sure it is practical to copy the info to this thread. Perhaps just this link will be enough?

Thanks, Bob

Well... MY link gets anyone interested right to the thread.
If you wanted, I could COPY the thread here...but I don't see how that would help.

Ford shifter trim ring
Look's like this.
Found one.
It's in Japan and the guy only wanted $150.00
plus shipping for it.
Sad thing, several years ago at the Tulsa Shelby
meet I found one on a vendors table.
He wanted $50.00 for it.
Thought I could find another one later.
No such luck.
Still looking.
Best,
BC

Ron,
Thanks, I was searching, typing and posting while you had already found the link and posted.
The link should be fine unless somebody else really needs it copied. There is a lot of good information we can use on this site, just getting it all together where it is accessible is the struggle sometimes. You guys do a great job of helping us out when we need it- kind of like this thread! - Bob

Hi Bob
I threw another comment at it to get it up there again. I just printed out my copy of the list. I'm going to see what I can find in some New Zealand BMC dealers and junk yards from the old British stuff. I'll be gone 2 weeks, keep them going over on this forum while I'm gone lads! I'll stir up some more informative and controversial topics on my return

Nick,
Have a great time and buy two of anything you find that fits a Cobra. You know you can sell it back here! - Bob
