Where did you get your footboxes?
Nice work, I've never seen anyone put the floor boards and footboxes in before completing the framework before.

Nice glass work. Looks good.
I'll be visiting my daughter end of May in Blandon, PA. Just have to call and see your progress.
What gas pedal assembly are you using???
My project is progressing.

Progress report:

Thanks, I purchased the footboxes & the CNC firewall from Tim Gunning in AZ. He has an excellent product and he shipped within a week. The CNC firewall was a nice purchase, It helped me locate the front framework. I was not sure just how close I was to prints. The firewall dropped right in.

I did not complete the framework in the trunk area and around the cockpit because I do not have a body yet. I did not want to have to make too many changes to the birdcage when trying to fit the body. So I decided to wait and do both at the same time.

I fabbed the gas pedal assy from scratch. An hour after I finished Mickmate emailed that he has one that I could use as a model. Would of been nice, I made mine from photos on club cobra. Dave, you are welcome to stop by if time permits. I am approx. 30 minutes south of Blandon.

Regards, Karl

nice work,

yes: wait unitil you have the body to fit the birdcage - I didn't... :-(
the birdcage should not support the body under painted surface.
rather around the lips of hood and trunk (and others).

otherwise you get "spider webs" in the paint.
(thanks "specialk"!)

Looking great, KarlCSX2498. :D

I am curious as to what size the main rails are, and how close were you to the front frame and firewall dimensions?

Hey Jay, the main tubes are 4" DOM .120 tubing. On the front suspension everything was right on except for the height of the shock tower, it was approx. 5/16" high. The cowl hoop and rear hood support that holds the firewall up are very close to the prints. I'm a little off but I will not find out how bad it is until I set the body on. Regards, Karl

John, PM sent back to you.

Where did all the photos go?

I wonder what happened to all the photos? Do they have a time limit?

My suspension & steering started to arrive in UPS, The next phase is here.

I should have a steering roller in a week or two.
More photos to follow.
Later, Karl
