headers for Street beast Cobra
I am looking for help with the fabrication of headers and sidepipes for a 351 W in a Street beast Cobra. They sell some but not sure of quality or look or fit. I live in Raleigh, NC so having them built by someone with experience is also an opportunity. OR if anyone knows of a set available from another source that will fit? Thanks a lot for any help you can offer, Jim

No, not really. BUT, Street Beast now offers a header/sidepipe combo and I have one on order. Jim

I sure am. I'm still in the process of assembling my car, so I'll have to drive my daily car, but I will be there.
Did you want to meet somewhere?
Thanks,
Ron

Ok, I was just curious. I have the side pipes, but will probably end up building my own set. $550 seems a bit high for a set of headers from Street Beast.
Thanks.

I think you'll find the cost a little more understandable when you start building a set. If you want to send me a good fitting exhaust gasket I can scan it in and laser cut some flange plates. Get a bundle of bends and some hose clamps with holes cut in them so you can butt them together and access the seam for a tack. weld

Sounds good on the flanges.
I built a set of headers a while back, but I had a pipe bender at the time. The hose/hole idea is pretty good. It will keep things in line.
By the way, I got the SN95 spindles to work with the Mustang 2 front suspension. I had to make custom shortened upper control arm, and had to bend the lower arms 10 degrees to allow the ball joint to float. I also had to custom make the upper coilover mount due to the short upper control arm. After all that, I probably should have just gone with the original Mustang 2 set-up. It would have been a LOT cheaper and the car would be half done by now.
Live and learn...I say that as I am talking about building headers. Guess I didn't learn too well huh? LOL

I found my headers on e-bay for $75. They were for another brand of kit but they still fit. They were a little short, so I had to have some 1 foot long pipes bent for each side ($20 at a local muffler shop). then had some connector plates fabricated ($40 at a local shop). My buddy bought the streetbeast headers and still had to have the connector plates fabricated.
