Default My recent purchase

Well, Johnny's got a body.

After hearing from others of the need to mate a birdcage to a specific body, and being a little jealous of Karl's aluminum 427, I have been lurking for a 289 body.

Check it out...

It's a CSX Comp prototype for the 8000 series. Not a slab side or an FIA, somewhere in between. I like the fact that it will be unique.

My gallery has other pictures for those that are interested.

John,

Great choice in the body! Even though it is glass it will be sure to make the car stand out and make many wish it was theirs. SWEAT..........Wish it were mine already.

Make sure to keep your gallery updated so we can all see its progress.

Great body! Jeff

Spring 2007?...

Hey I know a guy in Germany that has a set of those Trigos... I think I want some pin drives anyway.

The chassis is the Fall/Winter project. I am on the SLLOOOWWWW build plan. I actually am feeling a bit more secure to have the body to reference for some of the dimensions and steel bends. Measure twice cut once if you know what I mean.

I am sure there will be more questions and updates to follow.

No, I don't think so. This body is a few years old and I think the ideas for larger production were shelved. Special K may know more about it or numbers produced.

I am not CS connected. Just fortunate.
