[quote=LMH;1287451]What lamp/button/thingy is this one? I don't recognize it.
Larry https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/at...=w1168-h875-no Larry I got the all the vent pulls & brake & Gen light from a 1961 Ford COE Firetruck. Mike |
I got you. You probably already know but the Alt lamp on the later Autolite cars was made specifically for Cobra's. It was similar to the Emergency Flasher lamp used in the truck but w/o the lettering around the bezel.

Nice! The emergency flasher lamp used on the truck is the same fixture with a different bezel. If I can find someone locally who can do metal spinning, I'm going to have a couple stainless bezels made up to fit the old flasher fixture.

Back at the throttle casting again this is the best one yet the mold/sand needs a tweaking.

Map I take it you are pouring yourself. What kind of sand are you using? Where are you pouring the metal in and where is it coming out of the mold . When you get them in the right place it makes a world of difference. Is the rest of the gas pedal a casting or fab out of steel? When the weather gets better I am going to make a pattern for the AC petal and pour some of them. I know I can buy them cheaper than casting myself....... but I like making things.
If I had a casting to copy I think I could make some good castings. Mark |
