What size pipe did you use? I will be working on a 289 build in the coming months and will need to custom fabricate some pipes. Mine may be more under the car and exiting just prior to the rear wheels.

3" from the collector back I found a great deal on eBay on 3" J bends, the exit/turn down is at the rear wheel arch. Looking at the Speedway Auger style muffler. Dynatech® Auger Style Muffler, 11 x 3 Inch

I can't run the side pipes under the body like 2260 (pic) I built in 1 1/2" of drop into the chassis when I built it I won't have any ground clearance.
