ICV rego in NSW
Hi all
Thinking about building a ICV in NSW Australia and just wondering has any one hear gone through this. I have been told its very difficult to get a ICV engineered and hard to get the Vin number.Dont want to fork out 50g then find out my new ride cannot rego. Any help for a beginner would be great. Thanks all |
First thing to do is find a good engineer that has experience with these type of cars, he will be able to steer you into the right direction of what you need to do to comply with the ICV rules.
Also talk to a local AC Cobra car club, they may even be able to recommend a good engineer and give you some advice. Getting a ICV through Rego can be a real nightmare, even when you do go by the engineers instructions. It may be easier to just buy one thats already built and rego'd? |

Oz,
Dead on Mate!. You should've been a copper. As I read this I now see what you are saying. Baz is being targeted for some unknown reason. If I personally was in this situation I most definetly would carry through and locate every individual that has anything to do with this and follow up with those in the higher office. Not sure how that works in Australia but somewhere some how someone has to listen and correct this ridiculas situation. Whether they like it or not they are there to help you not be a total hindrance to the process. somebody in that office needs to see firsthand what these clowns are doing. Man! I can't believe Baz and others have to tolerate this unwarranted behavior. Baz, hang in there Pal. You will get this done. Hersh:) |

Just thought the further you are away from Rice-Burner central the easier it would be....and Tassie is such a beautiful place:p.....as for the your 3 cousins give them my best!! Quote:
Copper Hmmm....Maybe BMK has had more of an influence on me than I thought..:JEKYLHYDE These RTA clowns in NSW are giving all the guys that are doing the right thing engineering wise( 99% of cases these Cobra's are OVER-Engineered) the ridiculous run around costing at times Hundreds too thousands of dollars extra on top of the already hefty engineering costs!! If these RTA clowns did the job right in the first place and the Government Dept didn't require them to meet a particular revenue based BUDGET the yearly inspections wouldn't be required...Maybe they should concentrate on the guys up there whom are the problem!!!
