Luis has been painting historic race cars at Mike's for over 25 years.
Luis is an absolute world class automotive paint artist - rarified craftsmanship.

FYI, the paint that McCluskey delivers is levels above what's on a CSX. That's no dig to Shelby.

As I said in my previous post, the quality is much better but the cost will never be made back later but who cares.

Some people here pay tons of money on our hobby but make left turns into a gas stations to save a penny per gallon... Value is in the eyes of the beholder.
Some of us here respect true craftsmanship and quality...and you pay for that as you should! For me, I'm working on putting some patina on my 98-point car and saying "that's all by me"!

Sorry, meant the 98 point paint job, not the whole car!

If you peruse the hi-res shots of the thread I posted earlier this evening you'll feel much better about your points.

You mean the pics in the Hemmings article you posted about 3.2.9.5?

Yes, but if you take a look at the wiring job in about the next to last or so pic (click on them to get the hi-res shots), it looks like RodKnock did the wiring in a drunken stupor.

That would be funny, except that I don't drink and I don't do wiring.

Looks like whoever worked on the engine bay didn't do wiring for a living either. Maybe the painter? Lot's of fumes in that paint booth!!
