Default CSX4343 worth the wait

While I waited for 53 weeks from the time I placed the order and was disapointed for how long it took, it certainly was worth the wait when I got to finally sit in my CSX4343 last week. The fit, the finish, the overall quality of all CSX cars that I saw, aluminum or fiberglass were exceptional.

My CSX4343 is a 40th anniversary polished aluminum car # 29

Its a long wait, but well worth it, as we all know CSX cars are the real deal with no shortcuts. Good things come to those who wait.

Keith: Funny you asked that, when I first ordered it I ordered it in the blue, I loved the polished body but I was afraid of it. fortunately because of the delay I changed my mind & had it polished & stripped & I am one person that actually benefited from the delay.

Alan:

Why did it take so long? I have CSX4349 and I placed my order back in December of 2003 and it was delivered in late April 2004.

Granted I ordered a my car in boxes and had a local Shelby dealer in NY finish the car to my custom specifications. Car was actually finished in September 2004 but had a few problems with getting the engine from Shelby which took 6 months (4 months longer than promised).

I actually took my first ride this past weekend for its initial shakedown run, and I also must say I was VERY happy. The combination of a Shelby product and the assembly done by HRE Motors could not of been better.

Best of luck in the future with your car and hopefully we can meet in the future at a local event (I am only in NJ).

Jamvan: Is yours a 40th? There were several reasons, as I've learned some were real a few were memorex. My partner ordered one the same time I did His was done in August I was told there was a problem between Shelby & Kirkham, They received the raw body on Sept 7 & it was a completed roller on Oct 21st which I thought was very fast I handled it well & as I said the delay allowed me to change to polished. I haven't heard of anyone that is unhappy with HRE. I just hope I will be running by Vegas SAAC.

No Alan, mine isn't polished, unless it's polished underneath the blue with white stripes. Did you go to SAAC in Michigan last 4th of July? I hope to see you and your car at Winter SAAC in Vegas in February!

Alan, that picture that you saw in my gallery of the polished car was when I was loading in the Shelby transporter at SAAC in Michigan. It went to a guy in Ohio. Thanks for your comments on my gallery. See you in Vegas!

Mikiec, I'll have room in the transporter if you want to trailer that baby up there. By then, I should have my GT 350 to take also.

You've got to admit those Kirkham Aluminum cars look pretty no matter whose name they hang on the side.
