Csx 7000 Series Daytona Coupes ??

i recently received a "snake bite" news letter and it had listed in it that there are some (10) 7000 series daytona coupes being built? can anybody provide any details on this new offering from the shelby?? no wonder the registry can't get completed..........i really hope that shelby didn't put serial numbers on his chilli mix packages............**)

One dealer purchased 10 units and will convert without SAI.

I heard that SPF was going to build aluminum bodied coupes. My impression was that they were going to be sold as SPF coupes. Maybe someone realized that they could give them CSX numbers and charge a bunch more money???

maybe shelby should just go into the vin number buisiness? it really doesnt matter who builds the car all he is interested in is getting into the pocket of the buyer / seller..............it's just like his autograph

ZOERA-SC7XX 01-26-2007 01:15 PM

And they'll be real!

Mister 01-26-2007 01:20 PM

I seem to recall an ad, or an announcement, some time ago that a dealer in Pa. was assembling glass shelby coupes. My recollection is that for an additional amount, MAYBE $50,000, that an aluminum body was available.

Help me out here, CSX 700 I am not sure if you are really stupid or really smart. I think the latter does not apply, if I buy 10 mustangs and remove the body and add a wood box how is Bill Ford trying to get into everyone’s pockets?

csx700? 01-26-2007 11:10 PM

obviously your not all that bright "allan a". look at what "sai" has been doing all along. he buys someone elses products (many different vendors good / bad), has someone else assemble them (many different assemblers good / bad). and then slaps a "csx" vin number on them and calls them his own..............get the picture?? dought it!!..............it's just like his autograph he'll sign anything, any make, anywhere as long as you've got the $$$$$.............i don't think that i was talking about bill ford, could we please stay on the subject??

I share CSX700?'s opinion on the vin numbers and autographs.
I would be intersted to hear what members think about the X in the CSX4000 and CSX7000 vin numbers.
Remember what the X stands for.

What was stated before, a dealer, Lee Benson, All Pro, has purchased, or has a contract to purchase, 10 CSX7000 cars from shelby. They are the fiberglass versions, as that chassis (with the backbone bracing) is the "true" coupe chassis. The aluminum CSX7000 cars, Kirkham made frames & bodies, don't have that extra bracing, as the FIA cars did not have them, only the coupes. I believe Lee has Shelby's blessing to take these 10 CSX7000 cars (chassis's), with their serial numbers, and build coupes out of them, selling them as genuine Shelby Daytona Coupes.

Interested in one?:)

KMP 276 what does your response have to do with the original request?%/

KMP276 01-28-2007 01:13 AM

Allan A,
half my response has something to do with the forum opinions. The other half, you're right, has not, could have been in a new forum.

csx700?, you should become a boxer or an ultimate fighter, and take all your hatred and rage towards Shelby and channel that to your opponent. You'll be a champ!

BTW, when I was at Shelby, I built 10 chassis to be used for the project. Shelby didn't just give away the numbers.

RedCSX1 01-28-2007 09:51 PM

So.....

CSX700?, You are a bitter person. Also, are you the guy who selling replica Alternator bracket for the 289 Cobra? If that is the case, did you pay Shelby or Ford a percentage since they came up with the design of the bracket that you have copied? If Shelby charges for his autograph then that his own business. No one is forced to buy them. Same goes for any of the cars he is selling. If you are so unhappy about how Shelby runs his business you should changed your forum ID.

Superformance (Hi-Tech) builds the Brock coupe. Different chassis/suspension/interior than original coupe, although the Brock coupe chassis was supposidly designed by Negstad, who designed the 427 chassis.

i never said shelby gave anything away as a matter of fact totally the opposite! what i said was that it would be more adventagious of shelby to just start selling vin numbers. aside from the "original" 2000 and 3000 series cars which had one chassis manufacturer (except the coupes) and one drivetrain manufacturer the cars he's building, having built for him or otherwise are a mixed bag of whatever from wherever (good or bad).

i don't know what a "backet" is so i really have no idea why your trying to converse with me? by the way does "vegas built" have any more ego / significance over being built anywhere else, aren't all shelbys built the same with the same parts by the same people, to the same standards, etc....(guess not see above)?? i guess i might be proud that my car was built by a correction facility also (?), maybe not...............NOT!

I guess thats not you who is making the 289 Alternator bracket for the FIA that you have a picture of in your gallery?

I guess I don't follow your thinking. I don't want to get into a tit for tat with you. If the FIA in the gallery is is your then It looks like you do nice work. I don't know you and not sure why you have to attack Carroll Shelby when he is the one who got all started in the first place.
