Default Incredible Cobra Book

Hey guys I know some of you have the first edition of The Cobra Ferrari Wars which is worth big bucks now, but they reissued a 2nd edition for $80. Many magazines consider it the premier Cobra Book, I couldn't agree more! Here si the info I found. The website has many good pictures as well!

THE COBRA-FERRARI WARS 1963-1965, 2nd Edition. The true story of Carroll Shelby’s war against Enzo Ferrari, and the cars and the men who made racing history. 372 pages and 85,000 words, based on interviews of 53 of the original participants, conducted over 18 years. Over 530 archival photos, drawings, blueprints and documents, including 57 large-format color prints, all original. Acclaimed by Ferrari and Cobra enthusiasts alike, this second edition of this award-winning classic is now available through the original publisher. $80 plus $10 shipping.

I got it recently, could NOT put it down through the first two chapters. Even though I really didn't have time to read it right then, WOW, it's a terrific read.

Warning: Do not open the book unless you DO have time to sit awhile!

This book is remarkable because of the more than 50 people Mike interviewed, many of whom have passed on in the meantime. Another good book that has a lot of interviews on Cobras is called something like Rememberances of the Shelby Years. It seems to sell for from $50 to $150 depending on where you buy it. It is horizontal format, hardbound, and all black and white. The fun in reading that is how some crew members/racers/executives contradict each other but thankfully the author doesn't try to comment on what they say, just quotes them verbatum.
