Default What if Shelby Got the Healey Chassis?

Before the Cobra, Shelby had a long history of racing Healeys and initially wanted to base the Cobra on the Healey chassis. This is a photo of him starting the 1954 Carrera Panamericana in a Healey 100S that he crashed during the race:

If Shelby had modified the Healey and gave it the SC body treatment, maybe it would look a lot like this Australian builders creation:

I wish! I'm still in backorder/supply chain jail waiting for parts to finish my rebuild after my engine fire.

Healey had already done his Silverstone cars sent to the states, all ready for your Cadillac
V8s, just like AC would do later! Carroll knew all about those cars. Unfortunately, Cadillac had put the kybosh on that idea, probably why he wasn't so keen on a partnership with Shelby and Ford! Cool cars though! Cheers, Dennis
